Healing The Heart: Venus Retrograde (Jul 26 - Sep 6)

In 8 days, Venus will turn retrograde (Jul 26 - Sep 6), coinciding with a major influx of Relationship Ripples - from old haunts, to current ghouls, the ones that got away to the ones you ran away from. Love (Venus) must now confront her own shadow-self  - narcissism, manipulation, selfishness and criticism /the need for Perfection - since she begins her retro in detail-driven-Virgo.

Cancer New Moon: Bonds, Belonging and Busting Beyond the Discomfort Zone

A square from Uranus in Aries adds a sudden urge for freedom from past restrictions, past feelings/triggers/reactions - in short, old worn-out emotional material. There's an urge at times to throw everything out from our past, but the square shows it's really an internal friction playing out externally between the habits that have become comfortable even in their discomfort, and the striving Valiantly, Nobly and Bravely and Suddenly (Uranus/Aries) towards something fresh and new.

We have no choice but to Update Our Lives now. The Synchronicities of Pisces/Neptune/Cycle 12

If you're also with me on Facebook ( direct link: http://www.facebook.com/neildparis ), you may remember my supermarket story from the other day? I rarely write down or track my synchronistic moments. Maybe I'll start!

Born with a highly charged Neptune (and transiting Neptune on my IC (Cycle 4 cusp), I've come to find it commonplace but something I joke about a lot - how everyone who ever spends enough time with me inevitably gets to bear witness to some strange, surreal, magical and perhaps mystical moments and "line-ups". It happens a lot with the Fish, or to those who know them well.

Like the many times I'll suddenly say the exact same thing as the person on TV, read friend's and strangers minds without trying, or the only woman in the giant library a couple weeks back, who passed me near the Travel section with her friend discussing... zodiac signs, of course.

There have definitely been enough "raised eyebrows' when "chance" goes through the window. It's fun when you have a witness!

I caught Family Guy, first time in a long time late the other night. And a character said "between garbage and good, there's Chipotle!" If you've been reading my posts - maybe you'll also find that synchronistically-amusing.

Oh and the randomly-assigned hotel room number I was given last night? "222"...

Sagittarius Full Moon Scopes (May 2)

Archery (sign of Sag, the Centaur/Archer) is tricky. I found I was good at darts when I was younger and I was too shy to chat to people at the local bar. My Moon is in Sag, so perhaps that's why? Naturally good aim.

We're building to the 7th (of 7) Uranus-Pluto alignments on March 16, 2015. You've probably already heard or read countless times now how these are "game changers" otherwise known as "The Universe rearranging the pieces FOR you" or so it would seem.

 Higher Purposes (outer planet stuff) lie behind EVERY event around this time. [Like the Major Arcana in the Tarot representing the Soul's Journey...compared to the minor arcana day-to-day stuff].

Big Things are happening whether you see them or not. And perhaps Big Things are already happening within your own life, or the lives of those around you? Or just have. Or perhaps they soon will be..?

Uranus = Aquarius = shocks to awaken us to our True Selves and Ultimate Freedom.
Pluto = Scorpio = the breaking down and purging then renewal or removal of that which no longer helps the Whole (be it a body, company, relationship, country etc)

Put the two together in a Cosmic Clash and we'll see in the weeks ahead the manifold manifestations of their dynamic dueling.  Don't forget it could easily be a windfall as a windmill falling on you.

Think The Joker versus Darth Vader...

Keep an eye out for global phenomena: further insane weather as Earth herself reacts to this energy:

 Go easy. Even when life isn't. Especially then. Bigger Forces are at work. Remember This. Everyone's having a hard time right now in SOME area of life.

The thing you never saw coming, along with the thing you were hoping for that does arrive, or the thing you hope to see coming (or going)...even this too shall pass. So breathe.

There is always life AFTER the thing you're stressed about.

The "Bittersweet Rocky Road" of Human Love

Love-ruled VENUS is jammed between

 CHIRON of Healing (or rewounding) & the Hot DESIRE of Mars. 

Relationships of all kinds are all weirdly affected now because everyone's dealing with their own SELF-LOVE issues (or playing out ancient family dramas, cleansing patterns of wounding or hurting and learning compassion along the way) or past-life unfinished business that needs a clear up by playing out (since it all takes place in Pisces, the last sign).

So much is being washed away now, under the stellium of the Fish.

We either get swallowed up in our own personal darkness, or we continue to reach out boldly to the Other with courage and even just a shred of faith because we believe in Compromise and Cooperation. (The basic message of the Lunar North Node of Karmic Evolution currently in Libra). Old angers and the acting out of feeling trapped or breaking free are triggered (Aries South Node with Uranus) but firing every one of us for what ultimate purpose?

Into Coming Together in New Ways. The "meet me halfway" way. Synergy. Win-Win. Not the "me, myself and mine" habits we may have slipped into (Aries South Node) but the "I got your back, you got my back and we'll hash out a deal or compromise at every conflict".

The "WE"....

Alas, on Planet Earth, a zone of Free Will and Accept the Consequences, not everyone wants a resolution. Not everyone agrees. Not everyone wants an agreement to even be reached. Not everyone wants to shake hands and forgive. Not everyone wants to say sorry.

Cycles not Houses

2015 is the year I stop talking about "Houses" and instead speak of "Cycles" because actually, each House in the Birth Chart is a Process, an Initiation, a Rite of Passage - each segment part of a greater whole. What you learn in one, goes into the next. This is how we evolve.

There are 12 Cycles.

I discuss these in my book Surfing Your Solar Cycles: a Lifetime Guide to Your Stars.

The book was written through me as an addition to all Astrological Libraries as a fundamental building block book to support all further Astrological research, study and practice.

If you were born with Venus in the 5th House, for example, it's the same as saying
Venus is in Cycle 5 - going through Cycle 5 themes and growth challenges.

We now have planets going through certain Cycles, and this gives us a richer look into what is actually going on with this placement. Planets in Houses now becomes evolving Planets moving through initiations.

If you remember that PLANETS represent DRIVES WITHIN YOU, you can understand your Chart from a new perspective (Sun - drive to be, Venus - drive to relate, Jupiter - drive to learn etc). Find out more about each Planetary Drive at the Astrology 101 page.

If you were born with the Sun in the 9th House, you can now say your ego (Sun) is moving through a Cycle 9 initiation complete with Cycle 9 people, themes, opportunities and challenges.

Not All Signs Are "Good"

I won't be looking for Signs this year but I'm sure I'll see many again. 2014 was full of them! So was 2013. You'd think I was nuts if I listed off just how many and the specifics. Wow! More than ever before. Did you see any?

This year, I'll be observing it all and noticing, acknowledging, realizing and remembering that The Fact That Something Bigger Is Taking Place puts me right back in the magic, and less into what has outwardly appeared (at least with Saturn in Scorpio which was often a nightmarish hell dimension). I'll revel in the seeing of a "sign", instead of the blind allegiance to it as a perfect manifestation of my Higher Self or Destined Path.

We must be careful whose path/signs we are following now. Which leads us to Saturn in Sag as a brave call to Adventure - once more, for those already on the Path. To get Back On the Path. To demonstrate the teachings.

To make real and manifest (Saturn) the wisdom (Sagittarius).

2015 begins the era of the Walk Your Talk philosophy as people demand "Prove it!".

Preachers and Teachers will abound in the years ahead but not all speak Truth from the Universal sense but the ego-voice, ever searching for ways to both empower itself and satisfy it's desires. Don't go shopping when you're hungry! So Saturn caution is called for, in any teaching or story.

In Church, via media, or even in your own living room.

We're all working on the Truth, this year. And thus, in the polarity-world-3d-game we find ourselves in, many will operate under a Lie.

For those seeking soul-peace, it seems 2015/2017 is the gift of all the hard work of perseverance in pushing on through the dark, so that a tunnel and a light may indeed be seen/created/found.  Seek and you shall find. Saturn tempts us to Quit The Seeking, closing us down so that our Belief is jeopardized and our self-fulfilling prophecies take on a darker turn. But it doesn't have to be this way. If we continue on despite of (or perhaps even, because of!) challenges/delays/frustrations/tests....the Sagittarian good fortune will be there. Saturn always holds the ultimate (and longer-lasting) payoff, remember?

How strong and sturdy (Saturn) is YOUR faith (Sagittarius)? 

We don't need anyone to believe in us anymore, and we no longer need a nod to follow our own sacred life philosophy. 2015 offers the freedom to pursue our personal truth without judgment! But Judge they most likely shall.

Just because you "see a sign" doesn't mean you should follow it, that it's a call from your Higher Self, or anything remotely worth paying attention to. But synchronicity grabs us, doesn't it? And when they pile up and repeat, how can we not feel just a little excited that indeed, 'something must be happening'?

In 2015, I won't be seeing anything as a 'sign'. I have the Signs of the Zodiac to work with and there's more than enough information there to keep me busy (plus this is ancient tried-and-true wisdom as opposed to the latest and greatest we see popping up on Page 1 of any of our google searches).
Instead, I'll bask in awe at the consciousness that makes it possible to see that something bigger is indeed taking place.
 
If you've tapped into synchronicity of late, take heart and smile.  And if you haven't, don't go looking, just slow life down, take time to just "be" and see what happens.

2015 takes a final zip around a surprising corner (Uranus square Pluto's final 7 of 7 exact hits) and we're left with the purest form of ourselves and the range and limits of our personal power, in a world fighting for new ways of being, while holding tight to that which has been built so far.

The tension now is palpable. Wounds must be healed. And they will be healed the more we face Saturn's karmic lesson of Truth with a continued purging of non-truths.

When you see a Sign, it could be a Red Flag, a Green Light or simply a line-up revealing that "something" is being worked out, on a Higher Level perhaps, reflected in the dense 3-D physical world we also inhabit. It could also be something trying to lead you astray. Seeing a Sign, in itself, is amazing but like the freeways we drive upon, life has many road-signs and we don't follow them all. And sometimes, people rearrange them to send us in the opposite direction.  Skepticism is a very Saturn-in-Sag concept, but one that also has its place.

Remain open (Sag), but remain vigilant (Saturn). 

And as always, enjoy the scenery - even the areas you'd sooner rather leave behind than get stuck in. There are many roads leading to where you want to go. All we need do is keep our Destination in mind, and allow for the many pit-stops and detours along the way.

Even this page of your story, even this view, even this chapter is important.

In 2015 just remember one thing above all else:

Keep Pushing Through: Virgo New Moon & Mars/Saturn in Scorpio

A New Moon in Virgo and Mars/Saturn conjunction in Scorpio?

Hmm, I smell something in the air. It's beginning to reek? You've noticed too, of course.
Something needs to be fixed and something must change for good (or for evil, but we'll get to that...).

Virgo New Moon opens a window where any problem revealed can at least be tackled.
You either sit and groan about the errors and mistakes or you make a plan and set about trying to do something about it.

Under Virgo New Moons we all renew our dedication to our health, the welling being of plants, pets and our surroundings. Which means most people reading this will feel some amount of guilt at not taking care of themselves as well as they should. But even those who have lost touch with their inner healthy-mother, have another chance. The Virgo New Moon. Thank goodness. We also see what needs to be improved, and what new projects and plans we need to initiation (New Moon) and implement (Virgo).  We first see all of this through the lens of what is not is working. That's where we:

Throw in a Mars/Saturn conjunction in Scorpio of all signs!  Together with the Virgo Moon we have a team up between Cycle 6 (Virgo) and Cycle 8 (Scorpio). If you have my book (Page 303), you'll find in the back the list of cycle combos (if you don't you can check them out free!). These are the keywords to describe the flavor of Cycle 6/Cycle 8 and thus these current times to you:

We can get to the bottom line or we may have to hit rock bottom to have any solid serious, sober and REAL ground (Saturn) to build on. Reality is a great awakener. When you get down to the roots, you can see what's there (Mars/Saturn). Enough Nutrition, or creepy crawlies or viruses feeding on you?

The New Moon in Virgo is the earth-builder helper who knows which seeds to plant and which weeds to pull. If,...you Trust your inner Technician, Farmer, Critic and Boss. But beware. And be aware of and wary of anger, fears and mental phantom testing you. Remember that 'evil' I told you about earlier? Some characters DO turn evil. Is this the great "pole divide" we've been hearing about since way back? A parting of the ways? In the movie of your life then, and for the next few weeks especially, simply be alert and aware to enemies posing as friends and people hiding a real ugly truth behind a truly alluring lie.

P.S HP got me back my laptop after 3 weeks AWOL for a 3 day repair. They messed up the warranty and now tell me I am stuck without one. Nothing I can do (Mars/Saturn). Even though there was nothing wrong with it, the Hard Drive was taken (Pluto at his best) so I am in the process of again rebuilding the store, reports etc so I can send out orders. I'm behind. As you know. Bear with me, I'm doing the best I can. I do believe in evil now. There are forces that threaten to thwart our plans. Sometimes those forces can be people. Companies. (Pluto is in Capricorn, after all). If you find it hard to trust, under this Virgo/Scorpio vibe, be trustworthy. That's one magic wand guaranteed to create some type of magic. It always does. 

I finally got the Scorpio Rising message this week (as Mars meets Saturn one degree from my Ascendant). That life can send its thunderbolts (I have Uranus Rising in Scorpio so take your best shot!) but rebirth is inevitable. It is unstoppable. It is the human spirit itself. Sudden/Erratic and Speedy Emotional Breakdowns and Breakthroughs: The Aquarius Full Moon

I'm sitting under the Pisces Moon watching the clouds pass by,
and thought that, amidst the uploading programs onto the laptop

and trying to keep you all from chasing me with Impatience Pitchforks

 I'd take this moment to check in with you.

So much has happened recently. Inside and out. Are you feeling
this too? The Aquarius Full Moon surprised us all in some fashion.

Some people had toilets suddenly exploding, massive floods. Sudden tears.

Phone calls and texts from friends in need. Or words of comfort

just when we needed them.

I was so saddened by the sudden news of
Cancerian Robin William's passing.

He left us under the same Moon he was born under: Pisces.

Coincidentally, I, a Pisces was watching him with a fellow Cancerian
just two days ago.

So I felt his passing even more deeply and also the happiness that

we both got to reconnect with him before he left. I've only been watching

him and Joan Rivers (she shares my loud-mouth Sag Moon Sign) since

I had the laptop back. Robin will forever touch us as only a Cancer/Pisces

combo can.

Most will talk of his pronounced chart/life Neptunian addiction problems,

 (we love their murky waters, let's be honest)

but let us also whisper of his undeniable Cancer Care and Neptune-Pisces

 compassion and soul.

Our Sun & Moon combination alone leaves such a defining and unmistakable mark on us.

And all who come into contact with us.

We forget the basics so often.

The Full Moon in Aquarius will continue to surprise us in various ways.
But the most important revelations won't be found in the news, on TV
or through any social media outlet.

They will come through personal experiences that bring you into closer awareness of
Who You Are. Or at least, at times, What You'd Rather Not Be.

Emotions run high of course, it's still a Full Moon. 

But we just have to be willing
to be woken out of our emotional slumber if we are not to succumb
to the emotional toxicity of attaching too firmly to any structure in life: familial, friendship, career, or relationship currently in place. All is in flux. Should we be saddened or worried by this?

Not at all. We get to enjoy everything as it happens, in the Moment. If we allow ourselves.

Change happens faster, so we have to be ready to roll with it. As you're learning, right?


So, under this time of Aquarius-flavored Sudden/Erratic and Speedy Emotional Breakdowns and Breakthroughs, and under the current Pisces Moon remember that all
is transitory.

We're all purging toxins right now. Especially under the Full Moon.

The next two weeks then, enjoy the surprises when they come.

The nice ones and the annoying ones.
They are all helpful in waking up to a new level of reality-awareness,

while irritating the hell out of us.

We are electrical beings and we need shocks to the system to
fire our codes and awaken us up from within whoever s Dream
we have fallen into so that we make awaken within our Own.

Moving under Mercury Retrograde in Cancer...

Mercury is Retrograde in Cancer (the 'Home' sign) and Neptune is visiting my Home - just entering my 4th House (the House of the Home). Already the tide is dissolving the foundations. What foundations? They were already taken by the fire of May 2013! Born with a Pisces Sun and Mercury in the 4th, square Neptune you'd think my home would be swallowed up by the ocean, not burned to the ground. But the theme remains the same - intangible outer security creates the necessity for tangible inner security. And that's a tough one.

Nice in theory, rough as hell in practice.

The Universe works in mysterious ways, and Neptune/Pisces energy teaches us one thing above all - sometimes you can fight the tide (like those fish that swim upstream) or you can let it carry you.

As "fate" steps in once more, I have to relocate again. I went back and calculated it (Mercury Retrograde in Cancer is THE "Memory Lane" phase) and in my going-on-13 years in the USA, I've moved 24 times! Maybe I'll write a book on the many reasons why (the genre will be mixed - adventure/horror/comedy).

Now, as the Neptune tide turns (about to go retrograde in my 4th, ruling my 4th), a marijuana grower and her son moved in (not that I had a complaint about that) and I'm having to move out. I like to see it as another Upgrade, a sign that my wings are ready again to take another flight.

I have to move by July 1 so Weekly Scopes are on hold - but the ones up are still relevant as Mercury Retrograde lasts until then.

My natal 4th House Sun in Pisces with Mercury, squared by Neptune in Sagittarius has always been a curious alignment to be born under. The way I describe it: picture a man standing on an island of his own, formed after a giant earthquake has cracked away at the land. He's floating away but he's reaching, reaching for what looks like security and safety of the gang of people across the other side, physical land, or physical connection, of family and a sense of belonging, of safety. Continental Drift of the Emotional Kind.

Safety, Security, Roots - these concepts are very personal to me and yet foreign in many areas (I live in the emotional waters of Pisces in the watery 4th House of human emotions and our Soul). They often elude me in all areas but my work. In the uncertainty and in the unknown, in the emotional and in the soul, I find the safety, security and roots more earthy signs find just by being here, on Planet Earth. My clients allow themselves to drown with me, only to discover those little forgotten pearls and reminders from the bottom of their own inner world.

 Sometimes  - a lot of times, when you're born under the alignments I myself were - you have nothing left but to stand (or lie down) and surrender. Because the Universe can take what it wants from you, at any moment, on the way to giving you what you truly want. If you can let it go. Hard to believe, huh? But then my Neptune in Sagittarius is a spiritual call to Faith and to the Journey, after all.

There's always the other side to Neptune and Pisces energy. The part of me that wants to 'check out'. Beam up up! (If I'm taken by aliens - no doubt my real family - you'll know why). But that's the same part that enables me to 'tune in' to other realms of energy.We all carry a curse and a blessing, two sides of the same coin. The astrological hand we were dealt. I continue to do my Best, as I hope you are, in trying to Stay in your Light, Stand in your Strength, Be Proud of your Effort and Salute your Soul's Balls (whether you're male or female in this incarnation) in deciding to come here

I'll check in when I can, between finding a new place to call "home" and when there's something going on we should all know about.

Rise Like a Phoenix: Conchita Wurst

The "Bearded Lady" wins the Eurovision.

That's the headline so many are shooting for. Ms Conchita Wurst - who describes herself as being midway 'between a boy and a girl' - was born with Venus in Libra and Mars in Aries (at the 0 degrees Aries point of Public Attention) - both planets where they belong in their respective "genders". Only they are in opposition in her Birth Chart - two energies blending together or pulling apart.

And guess what - right now, Mars is visiting her Venus and Venus is visiting her Mars. Talk about gender switching and role reversal.

If that's not enough, Saturn just crossed her SUN-PLUTO conjunction in SCORPIO. Her winning song: "Rise Like a Phoenix" is a true testament to someone born under such strong scorpionic energies. Every one under a harsh Saturn transit take heart.

Venus/Mars opposition in Mutual Reception: Kisses with a Hickie

Venus and Mars in Mutual Reception (in the sign ruled by the other) - Venus in Aries and Mars in Libra AND lying in opposition reflects a current theme of figuring out where YOU are in relation to OTHERS.

Venus/Mars in opposition in their partner signs, is a beautiful symbol that in the other we find ourselves. Through assertion we stand (or find) our ground. Through self-love we fortify ourselves to them be able to share it.

Mars in Libra is retrograde suggests karmic patterns need repeating. Which ones?

Conflict Resolution.

Whether internal or external, the pull between Venus and Mars is the "battle of the sexes" on the surface, but below that we're all playing our part in the dance between Assertion & Attraction. Of pushing and pulling. Of forcing and allowing. Of patience and action.

Conflict Resolution means two simple things: there WILL be conflict but there IS a chance for resolution - even if it's the agreement to disagree and the equal rights (Libra) for everyone to have their own viewpoint (Aries) or way of Being.
