2006's Striking Spiritual Shift

On June 22 we all face a major change of focus, direction and emphasis. Currently we've been living under a very Arian part of our history - as the Moon's Lunar North Node forced us to evlauate our aggressive side. In the past year you may have noticed:

More feelings of impatience, anger, irritation
A need to be on your own
Relationship disputes brewing more than ever before
Road Rage
People becoming much more selfish
More fighting
Aggression & Assertion

These are just some of the symptoms - notice the governments total concentration on 'war, war, war' - the epitome of the Aries energy.

This period is over.

Does that mean we'll see an end to war? I wish. But since war = money, the quest to confound and confuse with the ensuing chaos, public control is sure to still continue, but we can certainly see a major shift coming up and we have no choice but to roll with it.

The Lunar North Node (of public trends and our collective destiny as a planet) moves into PISCES, the sign of the fish. it's a much needed change and a welcome relief as we move from FIRE to WATER.

Shifts of this nature are felt globally, and people often find it difficult to adjust or adapt, but suddenly we have no choice but to COLLECTIVELY realign our focus and discipline. The Lunar Nodes are our focal points - our collective destiny. We HAD to face our Aries sides, our aggressive tendencies during the last period, but now we shift our priority and look at our connection to spirit.

So what can we expect during this new phase as the Moon's Lunar North Node moves through Pisces (as the Dragons Tail, or the Lunar South Node trails behind in the opposing sign of Virgo)?

A new look at Water - especially its pollution, state of purity etc
Water talking to us - rain, tsunamis, the ocean, rivers, streams, ponds, fish, ice
Emotions - the need to let go of old, dead-wood feelings
Spirituality - a new desire to connect with something larger than ourselves
A drive to tap into your psychci energies, follow our intuition
More collective experiences with the 'other realms'
New movies focusing on Pisces material - ghosts, spirits, psychic energy, magic
Some great works - amazing new ethereal artists, singers, poets
More Goddess respect
A new focus on the underdog in society - and a peek into hospitals, prisons, monataries, places of retreat
A collective hunger for yoga and other body-spirit connective disciplines

Karmically, with the South Node (past) in Virgo, we will as a collecrive have to face:

Old issues relating to bad health, what we shouldn't be eating and should be doing for our bodies
Problems with the medical field - doctors, drugs and the problems of treating symptoms not causes
Mass job losses or an exodus as people leave their meaningless work for something more fulfilling on a soul level
The need to help those who have helped us, or at least to pay back a debt by being of service
Cleaning up our collective act - new street cleaning campaigns, littering problems, and trash collective could become major issues
The FDA and other 'standards' may come under fire for not caring about our health

Pisces/Virgo is the axis of Healing - so this becomes probably our number one concern during this new Lunar Node period. It's a really significant shift this - on June 22 we are all pulled in one direction - that of being less aggressive and more 'allowing'. The danger lies in ESCAPISM - Pisces relates to drugs, alcohol, drifting, dreaming and opting out - so these are the inherent dangers - more TV, movies and mind-control to keep us all lulled int a false sense of comfort and security. Can we break away from odl habits (Virgo souh node) that no longer serve us and find a way to serve instead our spirit (Pisces).

Our souls are shouting now - aggression and war only cut us off from our true selves - Pisces knows everything is connected so COMPASSION Is about to become a big deal - will people walk away from war, drop their guns, cease testing on animals, stop whale hunting or seal clubbing, because as this Lunar Shift comes into effect, our heart chakras blow open and we fel the pain we are inflicting.

It's highly possible. After all, how can we really begin to break the endless karmic chain of suffering unless we ourselves have felt that very same pain. Once you know, you save yourself and everyone else from feeling it again.

This is the hope of Reincarnation - and as the node moves into the last sign, Pisces, we get to see how everyone is the same, that every human feels the same emotionss and that by hurting one, we pollute the collective 'pool' of humanity the way one droplet of food dye can pollute an entire glass of water.

We are all One. If we didn't believe it, or see it, this period will remind us, so that there is no doubt that what happens out there, is felt deeply in here...in the souls we keep so private and often forget about.

The Children of the Law of One (a group from Atlantis) would see this as an amazing time of reconnecting, and remembering.

Surf the Spiritual Channels, listen to the inner voices - and if you get a hunch, follow it. the only real "news" these days, under these cosmic waves, is the news we get from our own inner teachers...our "in-tuition".

Neil

Belief, Bias and the Sagittarian Full Moon (June 11)

This is my second attempt to get this up after this ****ing site wiped it and said there was a site error (thanks guys!).

Haha, actually this Full Moon is all about complete honesty (so I'm sure most people won't be holding back after Sunday) I thought I'd get my feelings aired in advance..

So what's this Full Moon all about?

In Sagittarius, the Full Moon on June 11 asks us: how do you know it's fact? Truth comes only from Direct Experience, so you may have to rework your beliefs if it came from the TV, a book, a lecture or word of mouth. After all - how do we really know unless we have experience.

Faith plays a role - often we can never know for fact, we have to rely on our intuition. Religion takes a 'beating' this next two weeks or people find a spiritual connection through their own channel without the need of a 'middle man' as it were.

Pluto the rebirther is in Sagittarius with this Full Moon digging the dirt on anything that refuses to be totally open and upfront. So be careful liars this isn't the best Full Moon for you to be hiding your wares of double dealing. Things get put On the Table.

Of course PLuto is also propaganda and manipulation so Let The Buyer Beware and Let The COnsumer Wake Up!

This two weeks:

Hit the Horizon
Be the answer to any question you have
Find out the truth for yourself
Expand your Bubble
Stop Preaching and Start Being
Let go of the need to be Understood or Right
Find new options, ways, ideas and avenues
Explore!
Go hiking, horseriding.
Question your assumptions
Be Honest or shut up

The last one is pretty much the entire symbol of this Full Moon - if you can't be honest, you can't attract honesty and life becomes anything but honest. It starts with us personally.

Remember, Personal Truth is subjective.
Eternal Truth is objective.

Neil

What's new pussy cat? The Gemini New Moon May 26

We're currently under the new lunar phase moon within the air sign of Gemini.

I like to call this one the 'What's New Pussycat?' New Moon because we're invited to ask questions, get curious, sample, try out and talk and think to our heart's content.

More emails I am sure get sent and received under Gemini New Moons. More people hop in their cars and commute and more people hike up their phone bills because there's so much to say and just not enough time to say it.

It's a great time for new publications, columns, radio shows, novels, blogs, journals, and jobs and projects in the communication fields.

This particular New Moon is exciting in that it receives blessings from the North Node in Aries and Structure Saturn - we can have the best of both worlds as long as we're willing to try something new and at least talk about the pros and cons of Keeping Life The Same or Trying a New Approach now.

The North Node shows a place we're trying to reach and in Aries AGGRESSION as you'll notice has become a way of life. War is always touted at the time of the Arian North Node, but the New Moon in Gemini says "Talk about it" and since it's in a great placement this month to the North Node - talking and clear channels of communication will help us all.

This month:

Make the call
Spit it out
Say it like you mean it
Get your head together first
Write the letter, email
Stick it in the mail
Cover more ground
Explore the neighborhood
Contact siblings
Be curious and youthful
Get a a CAR TUNE UP!
Buy a bicycle or other method of transporation
Ask questions
Talk to strangers (yes this is actually a good Moon for this!)
Read a new book
Learn sign language

I enjoy Gemini Moons because I have a Sag Moon (opposite sign) and there's always a free flow of energy provided the aspects are happy ones. This month they are, so it's a bright and breezy time. A lot will be asked, a lot will be said but I'm not sure how much will be done unless it at least preserves how far we have come. Creativity will become more structured thanks to Saturn in Leo and whatever we are trying to put our personal stamp on will get the green light once it knows its purpose and can explain itself thoroughly.

If you have a presentation or you want to put it down on paper or sell it, this is a great time - use the right chosen words at the right chosen time (consult an Astrologer perhaps?) and you'll hit it big.

Wherever you end up, whatever you think and whatever you are inclined to say these next two weeks especially, remember Communication is everything.

Enjoy! And Keep talking - but make sure to listen too, yeah?

Love,
Neil

The Power of Energy

Everything is Energy. The human body is a giant battery, run on water and a strong conductor of electromagnetic energy waves. In the Age of Aquarius we'll begin to see the interfacing of humans with technology ( microchips being the so-called 'End Game' for the world controllers some claim) and the Internet being the ultimate 'link-up' between humans in this chunk of world history (Aquarius rules technology, connections, networks, computers etc).

This video is an example of just how powerful sound energy is. Imagine the impact of sound (music, or invisible energy waves) on our sensitive human bodies.

Oh - and another! Stonehenge in Brazil

And what do we have here - moments after I post my last findings:

Brazilian archaeologists have found an ancient stone structure in a remote corner of the Amazon that may cast new light on the region's past. The site, thought to be an observatory or place of worship, pre-dates European colonisation and is said to suggest a sophisticated knowledge of astronomy. Its appearance is being compared to the English site of Stonehenge.

The stones appear to have been laid out to help pinpoint the winter solstice, when the sun is at its lowest in the sky. It is thought the ancient people of the Amazon used the stars and phases of the moon to determine crop cycles. Although the discovery at Amapa is being compared to Stonehenge, the ancient stone circle in southern England, the English site is considerably older. It is thought to have been erected some time between 3000 and 1600 BC.

This is not just Astronomy as reported but ASTROLOGY but of course mainstream sources won't report this much.

I hear Stonehenge may be rebuilt by 2009, which I see as a good sign we are trying to retrace our steps and locate lost facets of our collective story on Earth.

Love,
Neil

Celestial Find at Ancient Andes Site

Archeologists working high in the Peruvian Andes have discovered the oldest known celestial observatory in the Americas — a 4,200-year-old structure marking the summer and winter solstices that is as old as the stone pillars of Stonehenge.

The observatory was built on the top of a 33-foot-tall pyramid (33 is a very important number in esoterica, a maste number in Numerology, the Masons who love Egyptian symbolism have their highest 'order' at thr 33degree) with precise alignments and sightlines that provide an astronomical calendar for agriculture.

I anticipate more and more discoveries as the truth of our celestial heritage becomes harder to ignore or deny or suppress any longer.

Neil

Pluto in Sagittarius and the Galactic Centre

Pluto is currently in Sagittarius at 26Degrees - a place of huge significance. It's called the Galactic Centre, and TRUTH becomes a huge issue - the trouble is what is it, do we have it, and can we tell the difference between the real thing and the lesser versions being peddled right now?

Good question.

One movie released this week is a reflection of the planet of Death, Destruction & Rebirth (as well as probing, propaganda) in the sign Sagittarius (religion):

The Da Vinci Code.

I came across material way back in the early 90s, that showed symbolism within artwork and the "truth hidden in full view of the public". The best place to hide the truth is within plan view which seems to have founds its roots in most news stories now - the war on terror a strong example - hide things where people won't look - right in front of your face.

Religious figures and 'believers' worldwide are going nuts over the release of the movie - since it threatens their very foundations of life.

Sagittarius relates to belief and with Pluto digging up dirt on things that show a different version of 'official stories' (from the 911 government version of events, to the life of Christ) people will not relinquish their view on reality.

I can only imagine what will happen as we near 2012 - will aliens land and throw everyone into chaos when we realize our history book are bogus? Will everyone be forced to accept microchips with a vaccination we "need" because of bird flu? The stories and possibilities are endless - but one fact remains - be caeful what you believe, because in the years ahead BELIEF DETERMINES YOUR EXPERIENCE.

At the end of the day, who cares if Jesus had a wife, if Mary did this or that. Did Jesus even exist (or does he represent the "sun" of our solar system along with the 12 disciples (signs of the zodiac) that show its passage through the season - death in winter only to be reborn in the spring (equinox).

Sagittarius loves information and Pluto loves to ferret around in taboos.

Exciting times.

Here's the story on the religious rampages currently:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4987116.stm

Funny how knowledge and belief can STILL divide us. Can we get over it and just work together?

Sheesh, wake up people.

Neil

Digging up Dirt: Full Moon in Scorpio (May 12)

This Friday, the Full Moon lands in one of the most intense signs in the zodiac: Scorpio.

I always tend to see this Full Moon as one that contributes to a lot more crime in the world at large. People try and get away with more during Scorpio Full Moons, but often they're caught or something gives them away. If you're psychically in-tune you can smell a rat at this time, if you're not you may fall victim to a scam, scheme, violence, danger or intrigue.

Underground activity is high this week, especially at Friday's Full Moon watershed mark - when the shadows increase despite the fact there's a blazing silvery orb full and strong overhead. It's like halloween all over again, which I happen to like but for most it's a weird time on the streets, which I'm sure you'll see by Friday.

So what can we expect at this time. Here goes:

Personally: Desire increases. Hormones rage - people are hungry for sex, love, money, power, satisfaction, and they won't rest til they find it. Prostitutes are out in force, people gamble higher for bigger sums, people sneak about, and you may even catch some people with sunglasses on at midnight or later. We feel a need to focus on the serious stuff, the things that we want more than anything else. Our bad habits surface and we suddenly get an urge to kill something off - a way of life, or just throwing something away that has served its purpose. We get out the scissors and cut stuff from our lives.

Globally: The intensification of power issues makes it a volatile time, so we're sure to see someone losing it and going postal somewhere, that's nothing new. But Hotshots like world leaders, bankers, greedy people (which already covers them both) and those dipping their fingers in the pot are sure to have some secrets publically revealed. I love these times - we get to see, as the public, all the things other people are doing in a Full Moon dedicated to:

Airing Dirty Laundry for all to see.

Gotta enjoy it - this week's Full Moon is better than any soap opera. Stay tuned to the news headlines for thigns that revolve around Scorpionic issues such as:

EIGHTH HOUSE
alimony
astral experiences
bankruptcy
corporate calamities
death
debts
dowries
drastic changes
genitals
inheritances
insurance
matters relating to death
occult matters
outcome of lawsuits
partner's income
recycling - regeneration - reincarnation
resources, other people's
sex
suicides
support from others
surgery
taxes
wills

DEATH comes to us once more - something ends this week in the bigger picture, can we let it go? And can we not get too carried away with things that are ending? We don't need to stick the knife in any deeper, sometimes it's best to simply move on, and swim away.

Other Aspects

This Full Moon could bring some intigue with online affairs - the Internet and secret goings on (child sex scandals, money laundering etc could become bigger news), the media could be slammed for lying (heres hoping) or take us further into more deceipt (even likelier).

Drugs and Drink could be problematic - we already heard news they are going to make carrying smal amounts of cocaine etc in Mexico LEGAL (with a view to detaining you for "questioning" indefinitely...nice one)

(This Full Moon squares NEPTUNE in AQUARIUS.)

Also, our hearts and heads can be so divided we don't get a chance to sustain what we already have because we're heated up and want to jack it all in. Messages delivered now seem more like ultimatums or we read them as such. Our minds may be at rest but our hearts aren't. The public may suddenly DEMAND an answer to something the press isn't talking about.

(The Full Moon opposes MERCURY in TAURUS)

And finally,

We can use this time to build something back from the ashes so stay tuned for news of new building projects, new foundations, new family values stories and more efforts to safeguard the past. Since the US is a Cancer Country this Full Moon could bring more patriotic flag flying and more Homeland Security announcements for that reason.

Why? This Full Moon trines MARS IN CANCER.

Our homes can be made safer (and less burglar friendly) and we can make our emotional defenses just as sturdy, by letting go (Scorpio) or emotional seeds of destruction.

Spiritually, letting out demons is harder than if we just keep them at bay by not playing host to people or energy that is destructive. Stay vigliant to where your own energy and where your emotions are being focused and expressed.

Above all - seek psychic answers, consult the Tarot, learn Astrology, find lost objects, have amazing sex, be open and have a heart-t0-heart, resolve debt and financial issues and get ready to Rise Again Like The Phoenix!

Bigger and better than ever.

Ready?

Love,
Neil

Yee-haa! Venus moves into Aries: May 3

Venus, the planet that loves love, loves tasty treats, adores affection, and loves to spread a lot of it around (the planet that also represents money, luxury, beauty, vanity, cosmetics, design and "what we like, love and value") moves into fiery Aries on May 3.

I'm a big fan of this happening because I was born when Venus was in Aries herself. It makes everyones love nature a little bit more aggressive (women start making the first move or begin leading, stay tuned for news stories of just this). We all begin to love a little more selfishly which can be a happy or depressing thing - if we become a little more selfish we demand a little more of our loved ones time (and no one's complaining about being Wanted so bad!) or we push-puhs-push to have it our way or no way, and we forget about the other person's needs and feelings.

Venus in Aries is nothing if not pushy - which is why I'm dragging my bestest friend and buddy and partner along to DISNEYLAND this Friday - to let our hair down and be children (Venus in Aries loves kids stuff: ice cream, candy, rollercoasters, adventure, thrills, spills and laughter.)

Expect to see a little more RED finding its way into fashion trends of this month, as well as people, movies and advertisers using it to woo us - I notice American Idol is using Red (with a splash of white) to advertize the infamous brand of cola (as if it needs an extra selling, but hey I guess it works.

A fun fact you may be interested in - RED and WHITE are colors favored widely due to their hypnotic quality. I've always loved the colors together but the significance goes deeper.

The famous Cola Brand uses Red because according to their vast studies, woman are more seduced by the colors.

Red and White is used on most road signs and a lot of big companies - KFC, Safeway, Ralphs - of course now I'm drawing a blank, but keep your eyes open during the day and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Red and White are found on the MAGICIAN card of the tarot Deck (Rider-Waite deck) and are also the color of BODILY FLUIDS:

Red = Blood = Life (and Death)
White = Milk, Sperm = Life=giving fluids

Red and White are our blood cells too - visible blood often means a new life (delivery room) or the end of one (accident scene).

The colors are powerful and affect the collective unconscious in dramatic ways you may not have thought about until you read today's blog (hey you learn something new every day, right?)

And this is what Venus in Aries LOVES - something, anything NEW!

In some ways, this is our strong arrival into Spring. venus shows what we adore, admire and want to receive so:

1. Make a move on someone
2. Make it happen - whatever it is you want
3. Rough someone up in a loving way (neck bites, and hair pulling is strongly IN now)
4. Love yourself (Aries is the sign of the self) - take yourself on a date
5. Be a Child - go for dessert first and skip your veggies (just this once)
6. Wear Red, be assertive and up your courage
7. If you're timid - be a little bossier. If you're aggressive, teach someone else how to be, and soften up yourself (venus).

There ya go. Some tips on making the most of this period.

I'm off to have as much fun as possible - Venus in Aries knows that naive pleasure and the pursuit of innocence is all that matters - you don't find anything new out about yourself unless you try something new in the world.

How about it?!

Neil

Land of the Free??

As I write, at 4.14pm we are already 14 minutes into the rally here in Los Angeles for immigration rights.

Looking at the chart of the current moment it's interesting to see that today the Moon is in CANCER (the sign of the United States) and with the Moon (representing the public), it was no surprise to see on TV more than 300,000 people or more holding US flags in the streets here (and across the country) to demand the freedom afforded others who work hard and already live here.

Not only that, the Moon touches MARS (the planet of war) The news called it an "immigration battle" and as Mars shows were our energy is being directed, there is a lot of anger, energy, and assertive ACTION being directed towards the states and the ability to call this place a Home (Moon).

Can America look after its own children? it's a Cancer country, for goodness sakes - "how can our Mother foresake us?", the people cry.

With the Sun in Taurus, being challenged by Saturn in Leo (authority issues) we can easily see how they are trying to cause a wave - taurus represents money, and a walk-out today is certainly causes many companies enormous financial difficulty. We're pushing (square) our leaders (Leo) to wake up and realize that everyone who is working here and bettering the economy (Taurus) deserves a place to put down roots (Taurus). After all, isn't that was Capitalism is all about? You'd think (considering most immigrants here are paid peanuts, and do most menial jobs Americans refuse to).

Spiritually, the founding fathers of the US, established the culture of America as a testbed of cultural mixing - and this will always go down as the most successful experiment in the human world - here people CAN get along.

Of course leaders currently are using the 'divide and conquer' method, so these protests continue to channel energy into the 'divide', playing into the favor of creating unrest and stress for the population. I wonder if an amnesty will lead to the new proposed microchipped IDs cards - first for immigrants, then slide it in and pass it for regular citizens. We'll see soon enough...

The Moon in Cancer today is starting its oppposition to PLUTO in Sag - Sagittarius is overseas, laws, and the surpassing of borders, and of course, in opposition the public is marching to oppose such borders.

Pluto in Sagittarius has truly go down historically in this period as a time when the church (Sag) was nailed for sex scandals (Pluto) when secrets (pluto) are coming out about religious stories we are now being told weren't truth (sag) (Da Vinci Code - Pluto loves codes and mysteries).

We've seen death and destruction (pluto) in the name of Holy wars (Sag) and cultures (sag( being blamed for mass deaths (pluto).

And here we are today - as the Moon graces the sign of the actual United States of America - its children (moon) are marching (mars) to reclaim their rightful place in a land they already live in and have done for many years - I saw one woman who had been here 17 yrs, leaving her job today (at the risk of being fired) because she wants the rights anyone else here does.

And of course, to provide balance, I saw two old ladies on TV who were screaming against it "Go back to your own country" they cried. And in protest, what are they going to go? SPEND MONEY (Sun in Taurus) to prove "they can't beat us".

How sad, I thought that we can still witness scenes like this. The way to get back at people who have the same rights as anyone else, is to spend money to give to the corporations, to 'show them' (the little people). How crazy, I feel.

Uranus (freedom, equality) is in Pisces (compassion). We can no longer ignore the inequality we've spent years denying. The People are not happy - and the times are a-changing.

I saw one sign today that reminded me that it's not even about flags anymore. "God Bless America" is past its use-by date.

I propose a new flag - "Goddess Bless Earth".

Her energy already does actually, if we would only see it. Perhaps in reality we should be proclaiming 'People bless the Goddess". Where are WE in relation to the planet??

With Venus in Pisces today, we're connected through emotional energy. We're all the same - do we need to continue rallying, fighting, protesting and dividing before we can see this?

I think so, just a little while longer anyway....

I send a ray of light to all those today who are without the rights afforded to many - by showing yourselves on TV, by upping the numbers, we at least have light shining where most people are afraid to look.

The United States is going to have to start Caring about life - under the sign of Cancer, it is a spiritual and karmic obligation and it won't get away without it any longer.

Love,
Neil

Vesica Pisces - The Meeting of Two Worlds

http://www.toniallen.co.uk/vesica-pisces.html

Interesting article about the intersection of the dimensions - the middle section is symbolized by the fish, (Pisces) and was often depicted in religious artwork.

In my current Tarot studies, it's interesting to see that the WORLD card uses this symbol too.

Everything is an Illusion...

Writers such as David Icke (www.davidicke.com) and many, many others have claimed for a long time that Everything is Illusion. That just as our bodies are just a jumble of molecules, tables are solid, and time is relative, that we really don't "exist" at all.

This article, which slipped through my consciousness-net during PISCES TIME (how perfect, since Pisces is ruled by elusive Neptune, who likes to hide things, right before our eyes no less) is something you may find interesting - and it should resolve your anxiety about how you're going to pay your next bill, what to eat, and what to do about that frustrating person/situation in front of you....at least temporarily.

As David Icke has pointed out, "Infinite Love is the only truth, everything else is Illusion".

New Moon in Taurus April 27 2006

We reach the New Moon once more - this one landing in the sign of the Bull. If you've been keeping track of the blog, you'll know what Taurus represents - its the physical sign of the zodiac, earthy reality, the senses and all things relating to matter you can touch, mould, sculpt - from gardens, to haircuts, to massaging muscles to cooking to counting money.

Since the New Moon is an open door, we're invited for the next two weeks to ENJOY EDEN - whatever that is for you - a comfy fire, nice food, an expensive restaurant, a new pair of shoes, a walk in the park, a visit back to the ocean you haven't seen for years, a hug (are you being touched enough - if you can't get, Give!) satisfying sex, and so forth.

Where is your Eden?

We're not talking religion, we're talking being comfy in your own skin, where all true peace begins.

However, (isn't there always a 'but'...?!) this New Moon is a little trickier than usual.

For a start, Saturn isn't on good terms with this Moon. In Leo, we're feeling our egos being squeezed tight - government is pissing us off (saturn represents authority), red tape litters our path (Saturn is rules and regulation) we're not as high up the ladder as we'd like (Saturn is hierachy) and we have to use the proper means to get anything done - but the proper means is slow and doesn't seem to be working (Saturn is tradition). We're ready to tear our hair out when we're rather be having fun (Leo). In short - many things are getting in the way of us leading healthy, creative and childlike lives.

So, this New Moon we'd like to abandon ourselves to the pleasure principle but there are rules we need to follow, we sense. We can't just sink back and relax.

Now, throw in this aspect: the New Moon lies in opposition to Jupiter - the planet quite unlike Saturn. Jupiter is all about having more, doing more, being more. So we have a pull to indulge our senses, spend more, have more sex, go overboard in all areas of our life - Jupiter is in Scorpio remember, so more can get us in trouble.

Hitting the gym this week? Good luck if you're trying to LOSE weight! If anything, do more cardio and cut down on stuffing your face! Addicts be warned, it's easy to go to extremes now - and financially this New Moon seems to be a test on HOW MUCH DO YOU REALLY NEED?

Credit cards may get maxed out now, or people are in for some rude awakenings with credit card companies. Only spend what you HAVE and NEED TO. I'm sure I'll be posted some financial twists in the articles of the week ahead....

The New Moon also squares CHIRON, the asteroid of Healing. New information and new ways of doing things are at hand, but we may be so busy caught up in the physical PROBLEMS of our current life situation, we fail to see that if we just stand back and detach (Aquarius) we'll get an overview that shows it's really not that bad.

In short - details seem to be holding us down as we continue to listen TOO MUCH to the "voice of authority" - the news, the government, our parents, and anyone who claims to be above us.

It's time to start asking what WE need, what makes US feel comfortable and moving towards it. Without regret, without worry and most of all without FEAR - a difficult test as the Sun and Moon square Saturn.

Things may seem heavy now, but it's all an illusion, a test to see if you can keep moving towards Yourself - your own core, and what you yourself value.

What do you value?

Whatever you focus on, grows. This New Moon invest in things that make you feel comfy and cared for. Seeds grow in the strangest of places - plant some new ones this Thursday and for the next two weeks, keep it simple, keep it real and give your time and energy to only things you think are worthwhile. Leave the rest and move on...

Neil

TAURUS SEASON

We just entered Taurus Season - the sign connected to Earth, Nature, Money, the Senses, the Land, Farming, Gardening, Cooking, Seasons, Banking and so forth.

In short, Taurus is PHYSICALITY - things that we can touch, taste, see, smell and hear.
As expected news begins to appear covering these realms:

Zimbabwe says it is prepared to provide land to white farmers (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4937310.stm)

Brad Pitt backs Global Green USA plans for New Orleans.

Why are we so secretive about salaries?

Just a brief snapshot - I'm sure we'll hear too many news stories to mention as far as Finance goes - Taurus' delight! From soaring oil costs to the slash of playstation 2 retail costs - bargains galore and rip-offs run rampant.

This is Taurus Season.

Our Celestial DNA - proof at last?

An interesting discovery for you all:

Astronomers using the Spitzer Space Telescope have observed an astonishing double helix shaped nebula near the center of our Milky Way galaxy.

Astrology reports: "as above, so below....as within, so without".

This would stand as apretty amazing message to us celestial travelers - we are looking outside for what is already within us - coded celestial star-dust. Are we getting the message??

The Galactic Center - at 26Sag where this double-helix was discovered (take a look at the photo or read more here http://www.scienceagogo.com/news/20060216005544data_trunc_sys.shtml

is a very important point in space and 'time'. We really get a kick in the pants as PLUTO sits here right now - digging up things we thought we'd forgotten or perhaps never really remembered, or then again placed somewhere to remind us at the allotted time?

This news article is a secret wink to all who know, and an even stronger nudge to those who pretend.

We are all one. We are connected. Our inner DNA is now being found outside of us - we are wat we see and we all become the experiment we are witnessing.

Amazing. But then, we already knew that...

Earth Day 2006

How about every day is Earth Day (little do the citizens of our world, a lot of them anyway, realize that each day truly is Earth day, as we wing our way through what will be one of the most dramatic, exciting, earth-changing periods of time - weather wise, people wise and event wise. Yee haa!)

I don't think we should only have one day devoted to this sort of thing, but in the spirit of Humanity, by way of the Aquarian Age, I share this in the hope that you can find your own unique way to aid the planet on this day. Planting a tree is a great way of course but also so is:

1. Giving up negativity
2. Letting go of what's been, done, and gone
3. Smiling to strangers
4. Being nice, instead of grouchy
5. Visualizing healing light surrounding the globe
6. At 11:11 wherever you are, bring Peace to the planet through you
7. Not littering
8. Recycling or if it's difficult to, re-using things at home
9. Forgiving
10. Treating other people with the respect you desire

List goes on, really but these are simple ways we can help the planet. By vibrating to a HIGHER energy we help the whole. We don't need to argue, march, rally, scream and shout to believe this planet into a new place.

Happy Earth Day, celestial travelers!
Love,
Neil

Trouble over Oiled Waters...

Astrological Associations and mythology can pay out in numerous ways, which we explore here from time to time, and it's no surprise to find yet another spin on the current ones.

Pisces is the sign of the Oceans and relates to many things including LIQUIDS on the planet (including our bloodstream, oceans, rivers, alcohol and OIL. With URANUS (planet of broadcast media - TV, radio etc) in Pisces it's no surprise that some of the most "surprising or sudden news broadcasts" have been based around Piscean principles.

Not only are we seeing a proliferation of "psychic" shows out here in the States (Pisces rules spirituality, magic and so forth - (Harry Potter stars as a symbol of this Uranus in Pisces time) but we are seeing numerous surprising news reports of Water Inundation (New Orleans, West Coast of the US and many others).

Now, we hear this week that OIL prices are skyrocketing (though I hardly see the surprise there personally). This news comes as VENUS (planet of value, cost, money) slides past Uranus in Pisces - and so the "cost of Oil" becomes an essential topic of concern.

Is it long before we hear of so-called water contamination (blamed on "terrorists") or the cost of water increasing due to issues surrounding its use, conservation or pollution?

Water levels are rising, due to global warming, earth shifts or other manmade problems, and we're sure to see more on this. I was watching a series called The Triangle the other day, (The Bermuda Triangle) and of course the whole thing is set in and around water. I noticed the show 'Invasion' pushing the alien agenda, has peoples bodies being taken over by the aliens, and the noticeable trait they all begin to share is they crave Water. How perfectly Piscean, and how fitting for a time when the earth's liquids are being pushed into the spotlight.

I'm sure we'll hear some startling discoveries on the blood0related illnesses soon - herpes and of course the much publicised 'HIV' virus - which I still find has many technical holes and issues surrounding it. Call it a hunch, but many secrets are to be revealed during this slice of time.

I can't believe looking at the 'clock' that we're only 6 years away from 2012 and a whole new dimensional energy paradigm. Seems like it's only tomorrow, or has it already been and gone? With time bending all over the place now, who's to say.

I noticed a poster the other day the read "6 - 6 - 06: The Signs Are All Around You". I'm not sure what it's related to, some movie perhaps, but I'll keep you posted. I found it interesting that someone is tying in the biblications 'predictions' at this point in time. So we do have 6/6/6 coming up - I'm sure we'll see more news on the microchip which seems to tie into this whole scenario. Cats, Dogs and Missing Kids - anyone next in line?!

Neil

The Cold Front: Saturn Goes Direct

Saturn, planet of structure, rules, regulation & red-tape has finally turned Direct again.

If you have Capricorn Rising pr planets in the sign of the water-goat, you'll be feeling the lurch forward. A new rule appears, or a new restriction or you're forced to work a little harder, work on your time-issues or get back on track.

If you're a Leo, you have to be careful you don't forget what you've learned to date. Some more lessons are on the way, and you may have been sidetracked lately, well now it's time to snap out of it and get working on improving yourself and your corner of the world.

If you're an Aquarius, Scorpio you will also feel some major ripples, as you try and maintain your current situation but improve it, without causing too many unncessary changes.

Whatever House Saturn rules in your own chart, expect a push (or shove) to take care of matters there. You simply can't ignore them. Wherever Saturn is natally, gets a burst of energy too - if you're 28 - 30 years old, your Saturn Return may have been prolonged of late, so expect to make headway - and a second chance to 'grow up' and 'step up' to the plate.

The gifts await you if you buckle down and do what you know you need to do, or have always wanted to. Saturn will reward you handsomely.

What does Saturn Direct mean for us all? More Governmental crap I'm sure - Saturn will set some new boundaries, and since Government IS Saturn, (heirachy and powers that be) you can expect lawmakers to suddenly raise their voices to amend or continue some older ideas that fell by the wayside.

Personally, Saturn Direct is a cold bucket of water on the head - a wake up call that you may hear as a deafening noise, or a gentle nudge, depending on how on-track you are. You're not above the law, but you're above your OWN law - but wait, if you don't have rules in place, how can you set about correcting other people.

So fasten your seatbelts, and prepare to dot your Is and cross your Ts. Some things need strengthening, and some lives out there (yours?) could need reinforcing with some substance and sensibility.

Get practical. Make it work. Wake up and smell the coffee. Get a plan. Make baby steps towards that giant leap.

One moment spent doing something truly valuable, offsets the many people out there who seem to be drifting, at the mercy of the media, and other peoples opinions, who still in 2006, insist on complaining to other people about what THEY are doing.

Mind your own business and tend to your own garden!

There, in true Saturn style, I've laid down the law for this particular blog.

Class dismissed.

(But still of course, with Love..,)

War of the Words! Mars meets Pluto (Peaks April 7/8)

Thankfully it's raining here in Los Angeles at present. Perhaps it's a much needed emotional clenase for a period that focuses so much on aggresssion.

Checking my ephemeris, I notice the Mars-Pluto opposition at work now. Mars, the ruler of the Aries Eclipse, is working in polarity to Pluto (Aries old co-ruler) the planet of Destruction and Detox.

With around 5 fire engines speeding past me today, sirens blaring, a host of angry people at the post office (Mars is currently in Gemini, which rules mail delivery). A series of angry drivers (Gemini transportation) were honking at a Cab Driver (Gemini job) who refused to budge (Mars opposite Pluto demands it YOUR way). About 20 mins later, a girl outside my building was screaming at her boyfriend who claimed she stole his clothes (he was shirtless). Apparantely I missed the next saga, when firemen (aries occupation) showed up as she'd been sprayed in the face with something and needed medical attention. The police showed up and finally, through their intervention the couple parted ways, 'peacefully'.

Anger and aggression are on the menu, but more than that, deeply rooted problems that we hide beneath the rug are being exposed. If you're peeved, you can't hide it. If you're angry about something (mars) then you have to deal with it, dig it out in order for it to be exposed to the light and understood and finally released (pluto).

I expect the weather to continue trying to cleanse or reveal our deat seated Rage (repressed no doubt) with heavy rains reflecting and dousing our heated emotions, or else some possible explosions and earthquakes or volanic activity ahead. Mars & Pluto when they face off remind me of one word: KABOOM!

With Mars in Gemini and Pluto in Sagittarius, the arena of Religion, Law, Communication (free speech etc) media and overseas will figure in these dramas unfolding. We refuse to bite our tongue any longer - BUT - sometimes it's best to say little. A lot of angry people floating around these days are playing in a pinball machine, bouncing off other people who have a chip on their shoulder.

Should you find yourself faced with a situation of stress, you can choose to extricate yourself from it. Mars-Pluto oppositions are about clearing the way - detonating mines and making sure the air is clear (Gemini) for deeper discussions to pave the way for more freedom and space (Sagittarius).

So, find your voice, work out what's bugging you, and face it head on. Try and change the record now and this week, the healing will go pretty deep.

Aries energy is still in effect - find a worthwhile project, and take your heat out on it, or perhaps through sports, the gym, DIY or something physically or mentaly challenging.

Gemini-Sagittarius oppositions find stress mostly through what is THOUGHT or PERCEIVED or COMMUNICATED. You have free-will in how you handle what you hear, or what you think.

Rise Above.

That's the current theme.

The Mars-Pluto energy peaks around April 7/8. I'm sure I'll be posting news of further fighting, explosions and fire energy, and more people speaking out against injustice. It's all a healing and purging, remember.

Let's not forget to Breathe ;) Often we hold our breathe during intense karmic encounters and then our cells store this intensity. Each time we're faced with a similar scene we go into that old space and forget to breathe. With Mars in Gemini, we can de-stress with oxygen so no matter where you are or how hot it gets....don't forget to BREATHE!

Neil

Aries Eclipse Notes

The word eclipse comes from the Greek verb: ecleipo meaning 'cease to exist'.

When the light ceased to exist during the latest Solar Eclipse on March 29, the greatest totality was experienced at the border of Chad and Libya where the light ceased to exist for 4 minutes and 6.7 seconds totally blocked by the Moon’s shadow.

Sources claim this will be the longest total solar eclipse that occurs between June 2001 and July 2009. Some people claim the timing of the Eclipse shows how long the Eclipse effects will be experienced, but I don't follow that so mechanically. During these heightened times of accelerated karma, we can often shift a possible event by conscious change, as opposed to being 'forced' to by outside events that arrive as 'fate'.

Solar and lunar eclipses have always been given a bad press - portents of negative world events, deaths and drama. To a degree this has been true, but these days things don't need to be so negative - we have choice, that comes with Light - and this is what the Eclipse is all about - we get to see where we may have forgotten ourselves (sun), or allowed ourselves to be eclipsed by something that is unconsciously holding us back (moon).,

During Wednesdays’ event, parts of Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Ukraine experienced 80 percent coverage. History shows that areas with strongest coverage (where the light is blocked the most dramatically) will be Focal Points in the year ahead.

In Turkey, people are camping out in tents, due to rumors or feelings of possibly a mega-thrust earthquake . History there shows that their last major earthquake happened in the brief wake of a major Eclipse highlighting the area. We'll see in the months ahead whether of any of these areas of the globe will become major focuses of our attention.

In Aries, the urge to push ahead comes out in widespread aggression, but also a pioneering spirit that seeks the NEW in all things.

Fresh avenues are ready to be pioneered - but like anything worthwhile, it takes someone to blaze a trail, to carve a new path, and not everyone likes to hear the bulldozers outside. Change is here, and we better get used to it -it's time for a New Energy.

Neil

Solar Sign Symbolism

I thought I'd share a little sign symbolism for how my own day mapped out, as far as the Aries Solar Eclipse went today, as an example of how planetary energies play out collectively as well as individually.

Today, here in Los Angeles, i went to the photo lab to proof my Headshots. As I waited for the Number 2 bus that would take me down Sunset Blvd (next to a woman wearing a bright RED (red is Aries color) cardigan sucking on a lollipop (Aries childlike nature) that of all the days it was the perfect one to pick up the photos - headshots - Aries rules the Head and the word 'shots' seems so fittingly Arian - Aries relates to gunshots, firepower. Speaking of FIRE (Aries element) a Fire Engine blared past moments after my mind was thinking along these lines.

I'm sure there were a lot of other symbols that I somehow ignored or walked straight past, but it's hard with so many errands to run to keep track of them all. Later in the evening I met up for friends and went to eat Thai food. My buddy ordered some seafood soup that was served in a metal platform with its own bunsen burner - the flames were pretty high and he couldn't blow them out (my eyebrows were narrowly missed). A fitting end to a day of springtime sun, heat and Aries Eclipse energy.

I'll post more on the incomings news related to this period. I hope you enjoyed a day focused solely on yourself!

Neil

RAM symbolism: Solar Eclipse in Aries today!

I find it fitting to stumble across news of the RAM - which is set to impress itself upon the collective consciousness with the oncoming Solar Eclipse In Aries - the sign of the Ram, today.

This news story ran today too, moments away from the time of the Eclipse.

Two reclusive rams found in NZ
March 29, 2006 - 5:35PM

Two years ago, Shrek the sheep wowed the world with his massive growth of wool.
Now two reclusive rams have been discovered near Shrek's stamping ground in New Zealand with fleece lengths to rival that of the famous wether.
Named Tweedledum and Tweedledee, the pair of merino-english leicester sheep are about eight years old and have never been shorn, the Otago Daily Times reported.
Locals in the South Island town of Tarras say the rams are at least as woolly as Shrek before the celebrity sheep was shorn.
Photos of Shrek and his full-body afro were published around the globe in 2004 when he was captured on nearby Bendigo Station after six years without facing the clippers.
His wool was shorn and sold at exorbitant prices for charity and Shrek toured New Zealand, including a trip to the capital Wellington to meet Prime Minister Helen Clark.
Farmer Michael Hayman told the paper that Tweedledum and Tweedledee had lived on a river island and may have been lured out of seclusion by the recent arrival 600 ewes.
He discovered them two weeks ago after long hearing rumours of phantom sheep on the island.
But the woolly pair may not enjoy as much fame as Shrek as Hayman said he soon planned to "defrock" them.

Astrological Wisdom Unearthed!

I'm excited, looking at the aspects for the years ahead as we continue zooming towards the end of the Mayan Calendar - in 2012 (the so-called End of Time...the end of the way we measure time).

I'll be writing more on the 13 Lunar Calendar and how time is being controlled on Planet Earth currently to keep us all focused on a linear reality and time-frame that is actually going against natural law and energy flow (another reason we feel more and more 'squeezed' as "time" goes by...

For now, though, I wanted to share this magic.

During the time of Pisces, the time of true magick this piece of the jigsaw puzzle fell into place. Of course no one would dare in the mainstream media even to this day (yes, it's hard to believe it's 2006 and we're still in the dark, yet it's true) that this has deep ASTROLOGICAL connotations...but as though of us in the know, understand that Astronomy sprung from Astrology (the EFFECT analysis of Astrology (right brain) gave way to the CAUSE of Astronomy (left brain).

The picture above shows the latest archaeological discovery - the mysterious "sky disc of Nebra" now claimed to be an "advanced astronomical clock". (in other words an Astrological Timing Device, very similar to these strange things called Astrology Charts, but of course that's way too ethereal for a newsporter to grasp!)

The 3600-year-old bronze disc shows a gold-leaf sun, moon and stars which Researchers now claim is a complex astronomical clock of solar and lunar calendars. While the solar calendar indicates the position of the earth as it revolves around the sun, the lunar calendar is based on moon phases. The lunar year is shorter than the solar year because 12 synodic months, or 12 returns of the moon to the new phase, take only 354 days.

The sky disc of Nebra was used to determine if and when a 13th month should be added to a lunar year to keep the calendar in sync with the seasons.

Aha - the 13th Moon. Something not so talked about in Astrological circles, but it has deep relevance, which we'll get into at a later date, as always, when the time is right.

13 cycles will connect us to our soul roots. Websites such as http://www.tortuga.com and http://www.13moon.com if I recall (I'll check and get back to you) have already explained a lot about this, but natural cycles on Earth will help us all realign ourselves if we would only follow them.

The unearthing of this device during Pisces season (remember uranus the planet of Astrology, surprises, technology and sudden startling revelations is IN pisces right now). BOOM - more knowledge that comes to the surface. I expect more unearthings, particularly from the ocean.

This news fills me with that wonderous feeling when you know that a tide is rolling in that cannot be held back. The knowledge we Astrologers of today know, is ancient, and was once ridiculed and stolen by the powers that be, who wanted to stay that way 'the powers that be'.

Freedom is coming to everyone who has 'ears to listen' and for those open to learning these ancient practices. True knowledge comes from open information. You cannot hold back the Truth, the eternal, undying and unchanging Laws of the Universe.

Exciting stuff - and what better time to unearth more jigsaw pieces and clues than during Pisces season, when the planet Uranus transits the mystical sign. As always, everything is on time if only we would trust.

Here's to the next unfolding of the cosmic story,

Love,

Neil

Dynamite at the Door: Solar Eclipse in Aries March 29

The Aries New Moon on March 29 is a special one. Not only is it a springboard into Spring itself, (Aries is the sign of initiation, a new cycle) but it coincides with a Solar Eclipse.

The last time there was a solar eclipse at this degree was March 29, 1987 (it's worth going back in time to see what relevance this date carries for you).

This is a north nodal eclipse, suggesting that we are being called to develop new skills and talents through independent effort.

Sabian Symbol: 9 Aries"A Crystal Gazer"
The symbolic degree interpretation of this particular eclipse suggests concentrating attention to see the whole picture. We'll see how this image imprints itself upon the collective unconscious - but it does suggest we'll be asked to look beyond surface impressions for the deeper meaning in forthcoming events.

The map above (find out more at the website for an animated look at the Eclipse Path) shows where the Eclipse can be witnessed. Astrological Lore states that areas that get to see a total eclipse are areas that may fall under the 'spell' of the eclipse's effect - causing dramatic events and the unfolding of what would appear as 'karmic' energies to those without astrological understanding.

And so it is karmic in some ways - this Solar Eclipse creates a purging of Ego energy, with a burst of fire and dynamite power that is sure to give us a wake-up call of sorts.

Since ARIES is FIRE we may actually witness explosions, firearms, volcanoes or dramatic fires on the news itself. In the US chart, the Eclipse could bring fire in governmental offices, or society gets to see the impact of yet more aggression.

SInce CHIRON plays its maverick hand in this eclipse, at 8Aquarius, we get a welcome relief in the knowledge that the eclipse events are a healing on a collective level, to bring us closer together. We're a collective, and we can't escape this fact. No amount of Aries ego can ever burn out the Aquarian ideal for equality. Selfishness WON'T win out in this round, but it will try its hand in a number of ways.

The 'male' energy of this eclipse will be evident in a number of movies, films, tv shows and stories concerning either Arian folk or those with Aries traits - fighters (fire/police etc), athletes, military folk or those with a brawl mentality. MALENESS is shoved into the spotlight in all its glory (or ungodliness).

With a trine to SATURN, we'll get to USE the energies of this eclipse well - what's the point in Astrology unless you A - Learn and B - Implement your knowledge. This Eclipse motivates us to DO something - after all Aries energy needs an outlet.

In short - the Aries Solar Eclipse gives us all an edge and an understanding of what we need to do, to get what we want. Selfishness should become selfhood - whereby a deep underatanding of our wants and needs, leads us to furthering actions that lead to the satiation of these desires.
Of course, Aries energy rarely burns out - so we'll get to see what can happen if you push-puhs-push too far.

Expressing Aries NOW NOW NOW CRASH BOOM BANG energy in a healthy and constructive way is tough - build a wall, run a marathon, hit the gym twice a day, take up squash. Champion something - fight FOR something not against something.

What fires are you ready to fuel?

As for anger - it's so easy, why even bother! Irritabiloility, road-rage - if you're operating under the lower dimension of Aries, you'll have a whole host of annoyances about to appear. If you're taking the higher path you don't have enough time to complain or fight, you are busying yourself and using every ounce of your strength, making something better.

And that's where Chiron in Aquarius comes in - better your own world (Aries) you heal the whole (Aquarius). Is there anything more practical (Saturn)?

So many possibilities - but one thing can certainly be said - tectonic plates will move, we will see red, and we will be fueled up for something - but is it our OWN agenda, or are we being pushed to take our Aries repressed anger out on something else (media manipulation?).

As always, there's a choice - to be lambs of peace or Rams of Wrath.

I'll have more for you as it comes in. Weather shifts, earthquakes - the potentials for dramatic turnarounds and the initiation of a whole new "saga" on the world front, seems so simply easy now, there's a high chance the months ahead will lead us into a new chapter.

As always, the timing is dependent on so many factors - Solar Eclipses seem to last a year - or until the point is triggered by transiting planets.

Find 8/9 Degrees Aries in your own chart and see what's about to rumble. Give it a spring clean and START something in that area. You'll be amazed where it'll be a year from now.

This Eclipse reminds me of a cheerleader chant I hear today on the set of the new pilot I'm shooting - one of my co-stars suddenly shouted, 'BE AGGRESSIVE! BE - E - AGGRESSIVE!'

Just make sure you know when to quit, huh...

Love,
Neil

Last Week of Mercury Retrograde

'Wrapping Up The Past' week.

That's how I like to call the last week of our beloved Mercury Retrograde phases.

What does it truly mean to have the planet of the MIND go retrograde on us all? To me, it's a chance to have a Change of Mind, which I have had to experience, and noticed many of you also experiencing.

Changes are mind are really healthy - despite the general uproar it causes when Mercury spins backwards in Pisces, the most nebulous sign of the entire astrological circle. Is your change of mind just the sign of wooly-mindedness? Are you unreliable, drifting and just causing trouble?

Perhaps. I like to see this final week, of this particular retro phase, as a one designed to eliminate outworn addictions. Let's face it - your pattern doesn't work. As you've notived recently. Addictions right now, can be seen for what they are - a good solid chunk of time spent doing something that always gives the same results - and thus you return back to it.

Unhealthy patterns are common now, and they're the energy loops we're being asked to refrain from restablishing (the typical 're's of 're-trograde). How are you doing on that front?

Pisces energy lacks boundaries, it seems all and feels all and sees it all has its place and all connects. However certain areas of life DO need walls, boundaries. Who wants to live in their neighbors bathroom?

And so on that note, Mercury spends his last week retrograding to help us find where our auras have grown thin, and where we're in danger of overstepping the mark or having someone step on our toes.

Establishing your boundaries now, in this phase, isn't easy, but the feeling when Mercury goes direct will be like the satisfaction you get when you repair your bike tire - remember when you were a kid and you inflated it, stuck it in a bucket of water and tried to locate where the bubbles are coming from? Then you sealed up the hole and bingo - magic.

I like to see this week as just that - finding the holes of escaping energy. Sealing them up and continuing on. We need soul-support, a cushion of something to protect us. Otherwise we'd mush together.

Like continental drift, separation isn't always bad, it keeps us unique and in a special place. Though from afar we're all connected, it's kinda cool to find a border now and again, so you know you're about to experience something new.

Respect your walls, and respect the rights of others and their own boundaries. Your own way, their own time.

Pisces Mercury Retrogrades until Friday.

Drift on, respectfully.

Love,
Neil

Mercury Retrograde News

Mercury Retrograde, as you know, is synonymous with technological issues, delays, problems and other troubles. Here's a few major boo-boos this week:

PlayStation 3 Release date moved to November after "technical hitches"
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/4807858.stm. The comapny shares have dropped by 5% because of this (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/4810116.stm).

Computer viruses set to leap to barcodes?
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/4810576.stm (Of course, I eye this story with dubious eyes as they try and promote the use of the "chip" in the years ahead as a tool of tracking, and control).

Mercury rules the Post Office, mail and message delivery. It was no surprise to come acoss these latest newsbytes:

A postman from Derbyshire, UK has been sacked after almost 5,000 items of mail were found at his home. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/derbyshire/4808072.stm

Royal Mail staff have refused to deliver to Victoria Close in Barnet, north London, since a colleague needed eight stitches for a bite on his leg.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/london/4807230.stm

Email 'tax' criticised (more ridiculous control - but Mercury retrograde continues to unearth stupidity) http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/4778136.stm

6-hour postal 'walkout' in UK
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/england/devon/4777784.stm

Mercury is Travel, Transportation, and we hear news of:

US space agency (Nasa) postponing its next space shuttle mission until July at the earliest because of a faulty fuel tank sensor.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4807526.stm

But Retrograde Mercury can actually aid things that have been on hold for some time. We get to RE-introduce things related to Mercury at the RE-trograde period too. Don't forget there's always a positive manifestation for these planetary powers:

A £27m traffic scheme in the UK that has been delayed for several years is back on track.

Water Week

As mentioned in previous posts...the retrograde action of Mercury in the sign of Pisces (water, liquids, oil, alcohol and so forth) is bringing news to the surface strongly linked to these areas.

I actually rented a movie called Waterbourne without realizing it, and it sat around until tonight when I finally popped it in. It's an indie film based on the premise that the water supply here in Los Angeles was infiltrated by a bio-terrorist attack. The characters were without water, reviewing (Mercury retrograde) their lack of concern with it previous to the drought that ensued and so forth.

The BBC somehow decided to take it upon themselves to make this "water week" at their website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/health/healthy_living/nutrition/drinks_water.shtml

And news was also reported of a pretty major oil spill in Alaska:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/4795866.stm

And who'd even think you could argue over owning a piece of the ocean floor? Mercury retrograde ('the "diver") shows us just how that's possible: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/crossing_continents/4781886.stm

They're talking about a possible ocean on Saturn. Surprise, surprise...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/4790126.stm

Stranded dolphins were released back (retrograde) into the sea
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/northern_ireland/4795160.stm

And finally, for today, how about burying carbon monoxide UNDER the sea bed??

Feel Me Fix Me: Virgo Lunar Eclipse March 14

The Lunar Eclipse on March 14 falls at 24Virgo.

I always look to Eclipses to shake up weather patterns. So the next 6 months (a typical manifestation period it seems for Lunar Eclipses, though they can continue longer) should create a few tectonic plate shifts - first on the emotional level (as Lunar Eclipses do, the Moon being our emotional source) and thus finally, manifested on the physical level. Perhaps we'll see nothing until after this period is over, but the ripples begin and sensitive souls will surely feel them.

Note: Solar Eclipses create more weather patterns as far as tectonic plates go - the Sun having a direct impact on more physical aspects of our lives - egos in particular. Stay tuned for the March 29 Aries Eclipse, article to be posted soon.

Back to the Lunar Eclipse for now:

In Virgo, this Eclipse highlights obvious places in our lives that no longer 'work'. Energy is blocked. Emotions cause a dam to build. Things break down - and so it begins. Health deteriorates, jobs cave in, bodies crumble and things begin to get messy.

Virgo detests mess, but this period helps us deal with it - you can't sweep a room (Virgo) until you look at what's hidden beneath the rug (Pisces). Since the Sun is in Pisces opposing the Virgo Moon at this Eclipse, we need both sides of the seesaw to navigate ahead. But somehow, in some way, the chaos in our lives is about to be picked up for what it is - clutter that we no longer need.

This Lunar Eclipse is like a major Full Moon cleansing - which is a great thing to, in the sign of Virgo which relates to health and healing on many levels. I notice some people with an abundance of 6th House planets are healers in many areas of life. Caretakers who know how to nurture and truly heal at a deep level - they know dis-ease is a sign that comfort levels have been breached (pisces) and some sort of system needs to be brought back, so that a physical order (virgo) can be maintained.

Our jobs and what we feel useful doing come into question - I expect a lot of people to be truly unhappy at this point, as the news will begin to tell us - unemployment or other job related issues. Are people feeling useful, helpful (or helped)? Service jobs are sure to feel the effects - from a waiter who 'goes postal' to a hairdresser who just about scalps someone because they can't stand the petty and mindless day to day 'stuff'.

The fabric of our daily lives will change - perhaps a new calendar is hung or an old one torn down. perhaps a new clock is set at a new time, or else an old pattern of waking/sleeping is experienced.

There's never been a better time to work on our health - expect some new radical breakthroughs that are actually very simple. Virgo isn't all flashy lights and bells, it just is simple and it works. There's no way round it - clear health comes from the 6th house of our chart - which is ruled by Mercury. Health comes first from the MIND. We can think ourselves back to full health. We need Virgo order though. We need exercise and fruit and vegetables. We need fresh things and fresh energy. We need to change our schedules, our rituals, our habits.

This Full Moon Eclipse changes what you do, how you do it, and why.

Big stuff. But awesome in that if it isn't working, you'll soon see. Your choice - to fix it, fine-tune it, or decide it no longer can be repaired or it's had its time.

Keep it SIMPLE.

As one Virgo told me, all you need is LOVE and SERVICE.

Remember that, when emotions run high and you wonder why you're getting so worked up over something so small, so insignificant and truly something so unimportant.

If it bothers you, fix it, or stop complaining!

I'll catch you on the other side, when the dust settles - have your hoover ready...

Love,
Neil

March Skywatch

Sky Signs of Spring

When evening arrives, find Mars high in the southern sky, while Saturn hangs high in the east. Mars is in the constellation Taurus and the ringed Saturn in the constellation Cancer.

Right now Jupiter (negative second magnitude, bright) rises just before midnight; by the end of the month, it will rise in the east at about 9:30 p.m.

Venus arrives about two hours before sunrise. At about 4:30 a.m., look for it in the east. By sunrise, you'll find the effervescent Venus shining bright in the southeast.

And the astronomical start of spring occurs at 1:26 p.m. Eastern time, March 20: the Vernal equinox, when the sun crosses the equator from the southern hemisphere into the northern hemisphere.

Whose Truth is it? Jupiter Retrograde Mar 4 - Jul 6 2006

People love peddling the Truth when Jupiter goes Retrograde.

Jupiter, the planet of Knowledge & Wisdom goes inward asking us to question our own inner Truths. Are you sure what you believe in, is accurate? Do you have First Hand experience of what you're talking about, or is it something of the 'teaching-preaching' type - ie, you heard it, read it or were told about it?

Whose truth is it?

The months ahead will try and sell us many varied versions of the same story. Every one is accurate and truthful of course, from their own perspective and that's just it: Perspective is Everything.

If you haven't directly experienced something, how do you know it's true?

FAITH comes into question now - from Jupiter Retrograde issues with Religion (expect a questioning of validity, "we need proof" and the search for something intangible - will we find it?) Jupiter relates to LAW so there'll be a lot of people going back to court (retrograde). Jupiter is EDUCATION - school strikes, or old laws being reintroduced, education reform - these are areas to look to in the coming months as people begin to grumble about the laws holding things together.

Sometimes we HAVE no proof and no book, teacher or newspaper holds the knowledge we seek. And therein lies the beauty between now and July 6 - we have ourselves, and our direct experience. We also have that magical thing called Faith, Optimism, and a belief in a higher power, "good luck", providence or 'serendipity'. The Jewish faith calls it 'B'shert - meant to be.

Finding what you believe in, and then questioning it, is a tall order. After all, reality is created by a set of agreed upon 'beliefs'. Change your belief, change your perception, which changes your reality. Pretty big stuff - but what else do you expect from the biggest planet?

Jupiter brings up old teachings, old information and old beliefs that are ready to fall by the wayside. Archaic ritual will be replaced with new and fresh insights of what is REALLY happening. Can you stay present and OPEN to the new information ready to pour in?

Our intuition (inner tuition) is remarkable, and with so much energy in Pisces along with Mercury going retrograde now, all we seek is inside - our outer world will continue to mirror the conflicts or peace we have on the inside.

Keep your inner ear open and your eyes glues to the TV inside yourself, where news comes 24/7 by way of intuition and direct experience. Everything you need is there - with no monthly fee..

Love,
Neil

What Lies Beneath?

As mentioned, news related to WATER are cropping up as things are being uncovered or re-covered (retrograde "re") under or, in or around the water (Pisces). I'll add them as they appear.

Mercury Retro Sign-Synopsis

If you read the article below, for an overview of this Retro period, you can continue with the forecast for every sign:

: Aries and Aries Ascendant: This Mercury Retrograde cycle affects your twelfth house of all that lies beneath the surface of things. Keep an eye out for deceptiveness and falseness in others. Clear karma - old 'stuff' returns. Let go, for god's sake. Learn to use your psychic senses. Spend mental time outs 'finding yourself'. Be alone. Create something ethereal. Chill.

Taurus and Taurus Ascendant: This Mercury Retrograde cycle affects your eleventh house of friendships, groups, and aspirations. Miscommunications with friends - very likely. Decisions surrounding finances, romantic partners and creative endeavors may not be that strong - be careful when signing or agreeing unless you know the bottom line. Risks? A-No!

Gemini and Gemini Ascendant: This Mercury Retrograde cycle affects your tenth house of career and reputation. Mercury being your ruling sign take into account all we said earlier about the ramifications of the Retro cycle. Slow down, finish what you start. Backtrack. Edit. Polish. Don't push!

Cancer and Cancer Ascendant: This Mercury Retrograde cycle affects your your ninth house of faith and adventure. Seeing the bigger picture, the whole story?? I don't think so. Careful - religious wars of trying to be right land you in hot, hot water! Travel plans could change on you.

Leo and Leo Ascendant: This Mercury Retrograde cycle affects your eighth house of intimacy, shared resources, and personal transformation. Money or any shared/joint resources, filing taxes, and loved ones throw you tests and challenges - don't bite the hand that feeds you. Be honest and above-board and you got nothing to worry about.

Virgo and Virgo Ascendant: This Mercury Retrograde cycle affects your seventh house of one-to-one partnerships. Misunderstandings with your partner? Guaranteed if you don't learn to LISTEN! Talk through issues but wait, did you truly understand? And are you telling them where YOU stand?

Libra and Libra Ascendant: This Mercury Retrograde cycle affects your sixth house of work, health, and habits. Details fly out the window - oops, you just 'forgot' or you lose your keys or important documents. CHange your schedule by doing something different, if it's not working don't fix it, try another way.

Scorpio and Scorpio Ascendant: This Mercury Retrograde cycle affects your fifth house of romance, speculation, entertainment, and children. Invites don't work out, the party's canceled. Children act up. Dates don't show or they lied about themselves. FInish creative projects though, and work on that ego of yours! Humility goes a LONG way, Scorp!

Sagittarius and Sagittarius Ascendant: This Mercury Retrograde cycle affects your fourth house of home and family. Home improvement could lead to a change that leads to a change - but remember, change is good. Moving or settling? Don't expect the usual. The past returns again for one last kiss goodbye. Let it go, please...

Capricorn and Capricorn Ascendant: This Mercury Retrograde cycle affects your third house of communication, siblings, and neighbors. People don't listen or hear. You don't. Miscommunications, car troubles, travel stress, losing things - problems with everything we mentioned in the first paragraphs of the blog - phew, slow down Goats. Check details and if you're unsure, Don't Do a Thing for now.

Aquarius and Aquarius Ascendant: This Mercury Retrograde cycle affects your second house of money and values. Hold off on decision-making regarding your personal finances. Filing your taxes or apply for a loans isn't wise - are you sure it's all correct? . Rethink your sources of income and how you spend your cash! Keep an eye on your wallet and statements.

Pisces and Pisces Ascendant: Mercury is retrograde in your sign. Others might misunderstand what you have to say. Go inside and get to know yourself better - a pit stop, a reality check. A change of appearance is worth a go but you may not keep it. Find your voice. Tap into what YOU want, forget others for a period. Alone time is good, soothe your soul just don't get lost!

Psychic Scuba: Mercury Retrogrades in Pisces (Mar 2 - 25)

Mercury the Messenger Planet goes Retro in Pisces - and you've all heard the numerous stories of how disasterous that is, blah blah - half of it's true and half of it is old Astrological hoo-hah, so let's get it all straightened out.

1. Mercury relates to cars, computers, phones, messages, mailmen/boxes, the Post Office, paperwork, pens, documents, folders, watches, highways, freeways, roads, wheels, engines, conversations, whispers, shouting, walkmans, cellphones, pagers - get the picture?

These areas can begin to glitch, twitch and malfunction if we're not using them properly - as a message to stop forcing things in the OUTER world so much. It slows us down to deal with things - are we using these Mercury tools in the best possible way? If we experience problems, probably not. (This is where the car trouble computer issues, mail annoyances, conversation miscommunications come in - along with traffic and travel tediousness...so slow down and have a Plan B).

2. When Mercury goes Retrograde its energy turns INWARD. Do we start listening to ourselves? Talking to ourselves? Replying to ourselves?

3. Not usually. It's frowned upon in today's world (if you talk to God you're religious, if you talk to yourself you're mad etc...) Well if we DID, we'd have a hell of a better time - especially in the next few weeks.

So what can we expect?

4. In Pisces, Mercury is anything but logical. Forget trying to even LOCATE the logic in life right now. The joke is on you if you try to. Some things cannot be held in the mind - but they can be beheld in the Mind's Eye - and that's the beauty of this cycle - creative visualization now can lead to physical manifestation later.

5. If everything is energy and things are build first in the mind, then using Mercurys inward focused energy path (in Pisces one of the most inner-directed signs there is), then we should be careful what we dwell on now. If you want it, build it within.

6. Dreams become really cool - we get messages and hints at where to go and what to do next.

7. Our intuition (tuition from within, ie: inner knowledge) picks up. We get amazing hunches. We just somehow KNOW.

8. Escapism is sold globally - take a pill, overdrink, watch more TV - just do ANYTHING but listen to your soul. We want your attention, we want your minds we want your money - in short, you lose your connection to your mind and therefore your freedom of choice if you succumb to the pre-packaged confusion that is sure to reign at this time.

9. What confusion? Stay tuned. The news is sure to kick up some HUGE QUESTIONS - some 'whoops we did WHAT' type news. Things get lost. Lost things reappear. Someone's huge lie is seen by the entire globe. Sleight of hand is also in the air (Pisces is a good smokescreen sign). Is it truth? Trust no one but yourself (Fox Mulder would love this cycle).

10. Water features in our lives and in symbols, in the news and so forth. Are we about to discover something in the ocean? Atlantis? That'd be cool, if it weren't for the fact I think we're already re-living Atlantis in the US with its current symbolism and blatant current direction (Research The Sons of Belial and The Law of One for more on Atlantis and todays reflections).

Strange things happen around, on, or in water - the seas, oceans, ponds, rivers - even in our own drinking supply. Hmm, odd things indeed. Is that Uranus and the Sun highlighting some watery issues - water being a sign of our collective unconscious. Demons ready to surface? or perhaps some gem of wisdom we sorely need to rediscover. Perhaps both.

Keep swimming and stay tuned.

To get back to what is likely to manifest....Pisces Mercurial energy is creative - it's amazing to tap into old works - the old novel you didn't finish, the screenplay, the song lyrics, poem or perhaps the painting that's nearly done.

RE - it's a 're' time - 'reinvent' re-discover' 'recycle' re-do' re-address - etc etc. The PAST comes back (especially for Pisceans) and it's time to draw some lines on what you want to take with you and what needs to stay in the past. Decipher why it happened, why it's happening again and choose to do something about it.

Inner swimming - learning to GO WITH THE FLOW and also to follow the dictates of WHAT FEEL RIGHT NO MATTER WHAT OUTER VOICE CONTRADICTS US.

Can you trust yourself?

We'll find out in the next two weeks. get creative, avoid the liars, cheats, thieves - within yourself first, because that's where it all begins, and then get back to using your PISCES DOLPHIN SONAR that we all have inside - trust it, sense and feel your way ahead and forget logic, sometimes you'll never know, unless you trust and go.

Love,
Neil

FORECASTS FOR THOSE CURIOUS, check the next post!

Neil D Paris

Electric Ether - Sun/Uranus in Pisces!

Spotlight (Sun) a hair drier (Uranus) in a fish tank (Pisces). Witness (Sun) a snapped electric cable (Uranus) on a wet road (Pisces).

Zap!

As the Sun conjuncts Uranus in the sign of Pisces this week, it's a high-voltage time, in the most ethereal way - we don't see sparks but boy do we feel them.

Feeling energized? Sleep patterns (Pisces) all askew (Uranus)? Sudden psychic hunches that are spot-on? That's the power of the planet of shocks, surprises and telepathy (Uranus) in the sign of psychic connections and ether (Pisces). What is invisible soon is made visible - to those who know how to read the clues and spot the signs.

The Fish are feeling this effect in a dramatic way - whether they realize it or not. They're becoming global citizens, breaking out, breaking free - and connecting, to new and like minded souls. Or the impetus is there to do so. No more being trapped in draining energy circles.

For Virgo, they're witness to the making and breaking of relationship patterns or are hosting the changes themselves in their own lives. Where is the space and freedom within a shared energy bubble? Leveling the playing field becomes a priority now.

Who's getting it rough now? Sagittarius has to face past issues and finally find a space of independence, away from family ties and those who are holding them back (themselves?) Gemini are facing career shifts - moving up the ladder or sideways and onto something different. Fresh fields ahead?

The Fire signs are making enormous adjustments to internal pressure to change SOMETHING - but what? Answers lie ahead - but for everyone it involves a BREAKTHROUGH, BREAKOUT or BREAKDOWN.

That goes for everyone. Freedom is calling and the winds of Change blow strong - if you're stuck, this week will help unpick you from the hooks holding you back - excuses, the past, society - whatever it is you claim is the reason for your unhappiness.

Progress comes in the blink of an eye when you can say "this is not making me happy, and that is not contributing to my growth as an individual".

Tough call - but Uranus holds no hostages - he has only the time to show you something new, something different, something CRAZY, if only to make you open your eyes and see that maybe...

....just maybe...

.....there is another way ahead for you.

There always is.

That's the Magic of Choice.

Electrify your life this week with some spontaneous leaps of faith, some innovate ways of using your emotional energy and tap into your intuition - everyone's psychic, so get using yours.

Love,
Neil xxx

Piscean Poetry

A gift...

..a poem..

..from my poetry book '37', written between 1999 and 2002, waiting for the right hour, as always, to be published.

Enjoy,
Neil

The keys in the stars

May the Sun help you find your way home soon
guided by the light of the silvery Moon.
May Mercury’s wings give you youthful flight
to find the cloud where Venus arms hold tight.
May the thunder of Mars make you carry on
till fear has finally faded, gone.

Till the horizons of Jupiter lie just ahead
to break the chains of Saturn’s weary tread
May you be struck by lightening of Uranus, rebel
Against a life of illusions under Neptune’s spell.
For only then will you brave Pluto’s awesome power
And make it Home at lastAt Earth’s final Twilight hour.
