Sadness, Synchronicity & Slowing Down

As if under cosmic cue, I lost 4 pages I'd written to you. Pisces Season is often about "letting go" one way or another.

Lot of sadness around, whether your own or others suffering. Comes with the astrological territory we are currently traversing. Hang in there. You're not alone! If things get overwhelming, seek a Safe Other to talk to. [I'm still available for chats and readings, email reports are still helpful reminders from your soul]. Find an outlet for feelings. Poetry. Sad music. Chill-out time. People's minds are seeking to RELEASE MENTAL RESISTANCE, by whatever means they can find. Be one of the smart ones who do so within healthy limits (not something traditionally associated with Pisces). Seek a mental release, but be sure to stay grounded. Mercury in Pisces is the cosmic call for us all to root out egoistic thinking and Merge With The Infinite Again. This is the time to bring back your meditation practice, the yoga, mindfulness. Turn Zen, and tune out mental noise.

Mars is now in Taurus. This helps with the grounding. A calm body aids a quiet, calm mind. Go to PHYSICAL COMFORT to tend to 'heavy-mental' emotional stress. 

Allow for extra sleep or some sleepless nights. Mercury in Pisces gives way to Aries this week by the 13th so expect then, minds to turn edgier, angrier, hotter - seeking speedy solutions, new information. Seek and You Shall Find, by the raw Power of Pursuit. We are more able to rewire our brains and carve new neural pathways inside, so that we may explore new pathways, outwardly.

As above, so below. As within so without....

Mercury in Pisces squares Saturn in Sagittarius. Prejudice is rife. What or Who is real, what's fake?

"Fake News" has always been around, we only now have a name for it. Where's the 'fakery' in your own life? 

Depression can set in when either our honesty isn't welcomed, or lies are preferred.  Expressing our feelings honestly is still one of the bravest things we can do this lifetime. What will you stand for and Stand Up For, when it comes down to it?

This Mercury-Saturn stress can be relieved by Remembering That Happiness is a Choice and that Optimism is too. No matter what situation we find ourselves in, we need to embrace both signs: Pisces kaleidoscope of feelings and sensations and Sagittarius' Bigger Picture & desire to magnify.

Magnified feelings help us create works of art, as our creativity grows. Magnified feelings also mean Amplified Grief as well as Amplified Ecstasy. These are the times: this week, Sag-Pisces energy is strong, so you need to find ways to Explore a New Adventure while Maintaining an Inspired Cosmic perspective. Look for Silver Linings in Storm Clouds: "Everything happens for a reason", for example. "It's the Journey that matters most". "Reach for a Better Feeling". "All is Well". "This too, shall pass". "Better Days Are Ahead". Being in the Right Place At the Right Time, despite how things make outwardly look. Trust. Believe. Expect.

These are choices we can all make.

Saturn in Sagittarius can bind us to locations - trapping us in certain times and places to learn specific lessons. Being Trapped, could be a theme that hides a truly cosmic and karmic purpose. We all face Judgment now, our own Judgments or from those thrown our way by those around us. We get to see where we are living narrowly, where Saturn in Scorpio may have quashed our adventurousness, our open-mindedness. We get to choose now to keep breaking the prisons of belief we may have stumbled in. Like planets, are we pulling towards (conjunct) others or away (opposition). Let's try to avoid having or Stories define us. 

We are still Real People, beneath the tales.

Saturn in Sagittarius is the quest for the Truth, but it's also the wall that's built to keep the lies alive.

 The only way through the blocks is a greater understanding of how other people live. Pisces-Sagittarius is the ultimate alignment attuned to Compassion for Those (seemingly) Unlike Us. The guy next door from a different country. The girl at work who follows a different political party.  Our galactic cousins we're possibly yet to meet.

This week then: Soothe your Soul. Align with Others who have compassion enough to care, to listen, to try to understand. Do the same for others. Slow down and catch your breath, this is not a race but do allow new information to pull your mind's eye in new directions. It's Time! 

Lighting up the Darkness: Scorpio Full Moon (May 5)

The Scorpio Full Moon is tonight (8.35pm Pacific, 11.35pm Eastern, 4.35am Sat UK time)

I'll be starting a 3-day Apple Cleanse under this Full Moon, since it's one of the most potent all year for releasing, purging, shedding. A cleanse is a great idea. Want to quit smoking? This is your Full Moon to begin. Want to let go of some heavy emotional feelings you've been carrying for a while now? This is the best time for it.

Scorpio is about The Darkness - facing those parts of yourself and your life experience that are "dark" - areas that Lack Light! The Full Moon's light allows you to see a little closer into your heart, soul and psyche for areas that are still dark and still awaiting the Light of your Conscious Awareness.

Feelings are always strong during this Full moon but if you Embrace them, they'll lead you to the place where you can finally drop them, and see them for what they are - opportunities to bring in more Light.

When you go so far into a feeling or an area of Darkness and things you Do Not Want you eventually and inevitably return full circle to What you Do Desire.

I'll be holding a personal Full Moon Ritual tonight by writing down things I DO NOT WANT in my life on pieces of paper. Then I'll write on other pieces, the things i DO want (since they are two sides of the same coin). Then, I'll burn all the pieces and surrender it all. The Universe responds to this sort of vibrational input by aligning you further with what you want.

Remember, although the Full Moon is in Scorpio, the Sun of Conscious Awareness is in Taurus - grounding, comforting, appreciating, building, growing, enjoying. Don't lose track of these energies as your anchor during one of the darker Full Moons we experience every year.

Whenever you "let go" under a Scorpio Full Moon, you immediately create an opening that can be filled with your Desires. When what you don't want is so glaringly obvious these days, can you continue to shine your spotlight of awareness on what you do want?

Enjoy the intensity, use the darkness as reasons to connect once more to your Inner Light, and in turn each time you do this, you aid the Planet by collectively clearing the Darkness of Unconsciousness that has plagued humanity for too long now.

Use the Darkness to bring in more Light, this Scorpio Full Moon!

Focus on Feeling: The Cancer Solar Eclipse (Jul 21)

(10.35pm Eastern, 7:35pm Pacific, 6.35pm GMT.)

Welcome to another big chapter change in your life. And you've already felt it, haven't you. Another opportunity to ring the changes and start anew. A fresh possibility. A new way to do things differently. Especially if you're a Cancer born near Jul 21 or a Capricorn born around Dec 21 (then you'll notice it's a mega time of personal change and growth). But it's a great time for us all.

Here's how to navigate it.

Jul 21 brings us into contact with yet another Cancer New Moon (and a Solar Eclipse) (normally we just get one a year) in the final degree (29 Degrees) of the first water sign of Cancer the Crab bringing us a strong emphasis, in the months ahead on: Our Feelings, Our Habits, Our Past, Where we Live and What's Going On At Home, Family interactions and our Self Comfort.

Solar Eclipses turn out the light in key areas of our lives - to help us to re-member & re-vitalize those parts of us in need of re-awakening.

How often we forget to live as well-rounded souls, experiencing various facets of human existence! Anywhere you're stuck in the past is up for review. Got Change? Aquarius Solar Eclipse (25/26th)

Tonight at 11.59pm PST 2:59 am (EST) we'll pay homage to the Aquarius Solar Eclipse.
And not a moment too soon. All this talk of political "Change". We've only just begun...

The LA Times truly was in tune with the Aquarian Eclipse that fell last year, on the first day of their new issue, the headline summed up everything about this particular celestial event: "Breaking Free".

Eclipses shake up the psychic, spiritual, physical and emotional dust inside and around us.

Soon we'll be, once again, under the influence of the Aquarius Solar Eclipse, so if you're wondering why you're suddenly questioning something or feeling an urge for a major makeover somewhere, life has thrown you a curveball, or you're at a crossroads and suddenly have to take a sudden turn into a totally new area of life, this is why.

Change cannot be avoided during an Eclipse. We're not meant to stay the same or remain in the same place. Solar Eclipses are specific to certain types of growth, as are Lunar (more on that kind in 2 weeks). Under a Solar Eclipse, our light is eclipsed, our perspective, our ego focus, our sense of self is shaken, albeit momentarily so that we may glimpse a new way, a new path, and something new inside ourselves.

So,firstly,welcome the unknown, the question mark, the feeling you don't quite know what you should be doing, or where you should be going. In Aquarius, this particular Eclipse is teaching you to access the independent side of yourself,the part that loves surprises and the part that breaks free from anything limiting or defining.

How can you define yourself during a time when the Universe is helping you to break free of definition?

You can't. All you can do is explore new facets of yourself, your nature, your desires and your ego. Try on a new hat. Notice the new people you're suddenly around right now - they're a sign of the new you emerging. Access a new part of yourself and the Universe will always mirror it with new folk outside - new friends, new strangers offering new perspectives, new groups working to the same purpose.

Suddenly you're a team-member of another group, or you're going your own sweet way now, perhaps in a direction totally off the beaten track, or off the plan you nebulously created for yourself one foggy day way back when.

Be new. Be unique.

Just Be You.

That's the message of the Aquarius Eclipse. And perhaps, you'll find out who that really is, by first experiencing who that isn't.

heralds another Chapter Change for us all - if we choose to ride with the changing tide, of course. Even if we try to pull against it, we automatically create a chapter-change for ourselves anyway - so this is something we can all expect.

What's this 'chapter change' all about you ask? Well, how big or small your change is, is really up to you - how much you want what you're truly in tune with, and how much you want what isn't right for you, (not in this lifetime anyway). Every choice we make around an Eclipse time sets us us for certain successes or failures in relation to our ego-desires (symbolized by the Sun).

We DO all have free-will of course, but we do set ourselves certain targets and time-zones in this lifetime at specific years and specific ages, to evolve and try our hands at something new - and this is what Astrology charts so beautifully - the potentials and possibilities and the ways to achieve those, and the things to sidestep.

So - the LEO SOLAR ECLIPSE is a time when we get to SHINE OUR LIGHT - or, if we've been hiding it, stuffing it away from prying eyes or a hungry public, or if we're neglecting to work on the creative parts of ourselves (the parts of Joy, Play, Childlike pleasure, Fun, Romance, Creative Juices) then the Solar Eclipse is THE time to work on it.

As the "Light" goes out - we get to see where it's missing in our lives, even for a moment. And then, when it comes back on, we get to re-new that area of our lives (represented by the HOUSE the Eclipse falls in, in your Birth Chart).
