Clean-up in Aisle 6 - New Moon in Virgo (Aug 30)

The Universe issues us a new assignment this week -  a new job lead, a new chore, a new plan and a new Improvement Program in a certain area of your life.

This is THE week this year to get things cleaned up. You know you have to - to get things organized, ship-shape, and running smoother. Look around at the crap that's build in in certain corners of your life, and there's no way you can disagree that a clear-out would be good.

We're talking an interior clean - old thoughts, feelings, ideas (a physical or emotional colonic/enema would be a great idea now)  and an exterior clean - dusting, sweeping, wiping, clearing, tossing, arranging.

Life is upkeep. There's heaps of things that need continual fixing, repairing, replacing, adjusting - from your body to your shower curtain. This is the New Moon to kick-start that process one thing at a time. Everyone should have at least one list stuck up somewhere this week with a string of things that need tackling, repairing or trying.

Get healthy - 10 sit ups is better than sitting doing zip. Schedule check-ups

Get clean - have an extra shower or bath to cleanse your energy field. 

Get tidy - a clean outside helps you keep a clean inside.

Plan - a simple routine or schedule made now can have a profound impact on your life.

Help out - grant favors with no expectation of return

Look at your job - want a new one, a side one or upgrade within your current one? Ask now.

Keep busy - start a number of projects. Plant seeds. The best will sprout.

A wisdom tooth out and Mars enters Libra (Aug 19)

My Solar Return chart houses Capricorn on the Ascendant for the entire year - and what do you know, Capricorn rules bones, joints and teeth and I broke a wisdom tooth. Surely there's some irony there, but as of a few days ago I am less wise and a little sore, but healing well.

Mars, the punchy testosterone-driven planet is marching through Libra, since Aug 19, the sign of Peace, Harmony, Equilibrium and Partnership. Good luck with that!  How Mars can ever assert himself in a way that pleases EVERYONE is a great idea in theory but the planet and sign are poles apart.

Finding yourself on the see-saw lately? I have. Move too far in the direction of 'we' and you get burned for not being independent enough. Move too far in the direction of 'me' and you're classed as selfish. How can you create a win-win situation? Often you can't. Or you can - in turn. Sometimes thinking of what works for the team, detracts from what works for us as individuals. 

Sometimes, the best you can do for others, is to do for yourself.

Fireworks, heat, aggression, anger, drive and directness are available in every encounter, every relationship, every union and every merger right now. It's unavoidable. Mars allows us to DEAL with something head-on.  In Libra, however we have to take into account the other side, the mirror, the shadow, the one across the table from us. What do they want, need, desire? And how the hell can we know?

My theory in this phase is that the only way forward is to assert what YOU want in the clearest way possible without trying to be a pain in anyone's butt. And then to listen, wait, be open to a reply, a response, some sonar wave from those around you, to see what feedback you get.

Some people won't accept what you want, but it doesn't matter.

Mars (energy) desires to be funnelled into some form of "we" - but since every 'we' is made of two (or more) "me's", it could be back a back to the drawing board on what each 'me' wants.

WHAT DO U WANT? HOW CAN WE BOTH GET IT?

IS THIS WAR WITH THE DESIRE FOR PEACE OR MEANINGLESS AGGRESSION?

That is the battle cry of Mars right now in all our lives.

Can you hear it? And how will you respond?

Changing your Emotional Habits: The Lunar Eclipse aftermath

So the Lunar Eclipse is complete. But the reverberations will continue with us throughout the rest of this year and into 2009.

The simple message of the Lunar Eclipse is: You know you have some emotional patterns to change, so are you going to give it a shot? From reactions to things that have always bothered you, to relationship repetitions to any number of things manifesting in our lives - the question to ask now is:

How can I do this completely differently?

Remember the old saying, 'If you do the same thing over and over, how can you expect it to go differently?' How much can YOU change your broken record in the weeks ahead by RESPONDING to events rather than merely REACTING.

Remember also - reacting means to RE-ACT. To act Again. To do the same thing, say the same thing, feel the same thing.

Lunar Eclipses bring up feelings remember (In Astrology, the Moon relates to emotional energies, the changing tide of our human heart) so if you're feeling it again, chances are it has some juice, some magic, some Gold waiting for you if you can work on it by doing what: changing the habit of a lifetime. All it takes is one effort.

I can see it now - the angry people out there suddenly start giving the benefit of the doubt.
The homebodies start breaking out of their box and exploring.
The detached get involved. The irritable find more patience.

Prepare to be amazed.

Not by any outside event (unless your own life and chart need to thrust you into a change because you are TOO stuck, but that's beyond the power of an Astrologer, we can tell you what patterns need playing out and your choices but HOW you do it is up to you), but by a personal choice to outlive outdated operating systems (namely the way you've been doing things till now that bring stress/pain/frustration etc).

In Aquarius, the sign of sudden surprises, the Eclipse allows us to RADICALLY ALTER our old emotional records. To play a new tune.

Where will you shock yourself (and others) out of your "usual" behavior?

Feel Free & Free the Feeling!: Aquarius Lunar Eclipse (Aug 16)

Feeling antsy, excited, agitated, loopy, ready to blow, tense, alert, drowsy?

Anger follows frustrated desire. So remove the desire or find a new way to pursue it.
Hate follows loss of control. So quit trying to gain control.
Depression follows prolonger anger. So release the anger and question the desire.

They all loop together of course. And emotions are myriad. Take your pick. Right now, each have something to reveal about You, Your Story. Your perceptions and Your take on life.

Since society comes under the sign of Aquarius (individuals making up a collective) this Eclipse is likely to see many shifts play out on the global screen. Groups of people under emotional stress, turmoil, excitement or unrest. Take your pick. Lunar Eclipses shake up feelings to faciliate change and growth, Aquarius is the electrical energy of Change, Social Growth, Unique Individuality and Humanitarianism.


This Age of Aquarius is about one thing above all else - The People: Humanity, the Human Race, Equality, Equal Rights, Individuality, Independence and the right to Live and Let Live.

The Aquarian Full Moon Lunar Eclipse reminds us of our part in the Human Drama unfolding. What a concept. As the Full Moon shines above us we'll start to see the beginnings of the Saturn-Neptune unfoldment. Let me explain more.

If you read back on past blogs of mine you'll read up on the planetary alignment that is coming that's a Big One (one of the more profound ones that effects generations, not just people living in far off places).

The Full Moon will fall in Aquarius, the sign of the People, and activate Neptune in Aquarius (cosmic consciousness).

In Health Astrology - each sign represents a part/function of the body. Aquarius = circulation, the shins, ankles. Leo - the heart and spine.

This period could be summed up as a conflict between the "heart and circulation" of our global community. The 'Global Village' that Marshall McCluen talked about years ago is a reality - through technology, we are now all linked up. We get to see, witness, feel and experience what others experience - often Real Time.

The heart of society (Leo) is still closed to some degree, and is reflected in the hearts (and heart conditions...) of those 'in charge'. (Saturn's passage through Leo showed us this, and now in Virgo we get to continue the theme of ill health amongst leaders as a sign of wounded leadership). Maybe this is now manifested as Repressive Leaders once more, who care less about the people (Aqu) and more about their personal stakes and power (leo).

The backbone of unhealthy leadership continued to crumble with Saturn leaving Leo (Saturn relates to bone, and Leo relates to the back) and moving into Virgo and we get to see all the glaring errors (Virgo rules precision) made in the name of the People they rule.

This Eclipse asks you: are you hanging with the right crowd? Is there more power for you in numbers - is there a Group you can join to share your ideas and ideals with others of Like Mind? Are you being a good friend to have good friends? Is it time to cut free and fly solo from your social circle/spiral? Are you truly heading in the direction of your dreams or are you aimless with no goal and all the time in the world to repeat old emotional dramas?

The Lunar Eclipse brings in the power of Neptune

Neptune = the Dissolver, Deceiver, the Smokescreen, the Subtle Signal, the Dream, the Illusion, the energy to fog up our road and remind us of our spirit and the 'other realm'.

On the base level - social deceit, lies amongst friends, monumental revelations of untruths. Smokescreens and mirrors, whitewashes and false trails, wild goose chases. Blame Games. A field day for modern politics.

On the personal level - the choice to disregard surface appearances and use our gut feelings to see what FEELS right. Intuition is the way to go, not what we're told or even shown. What is unseen holds more of a key to the real situation. A loosening of control or the need to know or the need to be or do anything. Allowing. Being receptive to change (Aquarius) but not personal ego change but what is best for us in the Bigger Picture (Neptune). What helps the whole instead of what serves only ourselves?

Compassion comes from direct experience and thus emotional understanding.

On the Higher Level: Neptune dissolves ego. We melt back into the pot we came from - the Collective Consciousness. A global "One". We're all connected. If we believe we are separate, pain increases to slowly and insidiously loosen our grip on things that bind us to that illusion. We begin to let go, and let live.


This week - the Full Moon reminds us to stay alert to oportunities to celebrate our differences. Avoid cultural clashes. Afford others the same rights you want, desire and deserve. It sounds simple but it could just alleviate the problems in the bigger picture. It's worth a try anyway, right?

Celebrate who you are - apart from anyone else you know.
Then, celebrate the band of Merry Men or Woman who are your possee, your kin, your club or group. The ones who walk with you in this life. Celebrate their unique perspective.

I'm excited about the possibilities of this Full Moon - the PEOPLE are about to rise up stronger than ever before against repressive and restrictive regimes - which can only be faced by leaders as a threat. Which may lead to further confrontations - but as long as we remember that we are all connected and All One - what we witness is merely the playing out of two sides that are in actuality, ONE WHOLE.

If we fight on any level now we lose. If we refrain from indulding or accepting repression or mistreatment in our personal lives, the collective heals.
In reality we are one whole - many souls, a fragmented hologram of a whole.

How strange, eh?

Picture it - a soul, fragmenting itself out into two parts and playing the role of two both tennis players in a match.

Both end up winners and both end of losers. Is it a real fight? Yes and No. Both feel what they feel, and are correct to feel that. But imagine the view from above - witnessing both, feeling both, but siding with neither.

As the poles shift (symbolically represented by people taking sides) we'll have the choice to see the Bigger Picture of the story of Earth's inhabitants in one of the most dynamic, exciting Spiritual Wake-Up Calls of our times.

Everything is connected, and everyone. And how soon we'll see and be reminded once more.

May the waters flow, and the circulation of the planets energy (humanity) opens the hearts of Leaders who could truly help us unite, and cease the endless dramas of old from repeating.


Unplug from the global drama, and enjoy your own freakishness, your own craziness, the insanity of your own life, and live your never-to-be-repeated life story with the fullest glory you can muster.

It takes courage to live these days - and yet more, to risk rejection, and dare to be yourself - with no apologies.

What to expect after the Eclipse....

So the Leo Solar Eclipse just passed. What now?

Don't worry if something hasn't clicked into place right away - in fact, around Eclipse points, the energy is so wily, things usually get knocked out of place before they find a new structure - don't worry!

We can expect results, though, on things we start THIS WEEK, in the next month to three months. Solar Eclipses bring longer-term changes from simple short term decisions, choices and actions. So don't be surprised if 6 months from now, what you were working on at this time, bears rich fruit, out of nowhere, when you figured nothing would change. Keep on keeping on.

For Pisces such as myself, re-aligning the body and daily routine is likely (and encouraged) - I re-kindled my yoga practice and began a push-up, sit-up and arm work out regime. (For Pisces the Solar Eclipse brings 6th House energy shifts - the house of health and work).

I'll give some pointers soon on which areas to look for change and encourage change for the signs.

But for now - get moving on bringing something into your life that you desire by moving towards it This Week. Any small step helps. Find someone to team up with to keep each other on track. Write it down. Pin up a sticky note on the mirror.

And remember - it's play time. The Leo Eclipse is here to usher in a period of more leisure, no matter what you're going through.

So stop looking for an instant shift - it may come - but you're better off doing something NOW with a view to seeing some results a month to three months from now.

heralds another Chapter Change for us all - if we choose to ride with the changing tide, of course. Even if we try to pull against it, we automatically create a chapter-change for ourselves anyway - so this is something we can all expect.

What's this 'chapter change' all about you ask? Well, how big or small your change is, is really up to you - how much you want what you're truly in tune with, and how much you want what isn't right for you, (not in this lifetime anyway). Every choice we make around an Eclipse time sets us us for certain successes or failures in relation to our ego-desires (symbolized by the Sun).

We DO all have free-will of course, but we do set ourselves certain targets and time-zones in this lifetime at specific years and specific ages, to evolve and try our hands at something new - and this is what Astrology charts so beautifully - the potentials and possibilities and the ways to achieve those, and the things to sidestep.

So - the LEO SOLAR ECLIPSE is a time when we get to SHINE OUR LIGHT - or, if we've been hiding it, stuffing it away from prying eyes or a hungry public, or if we're neglecting to work on the creative parts of ourselves (the parts of Joy, Play, Childlike pleasure, Fun, Romance, Creative Juices) then the Solar Eclipse is THE time to work on it.

As the "Light" goes out - we get to see where it's missing in our lives, even for a moment. And then, when it comes back on, we get to re-new that area of our lives (represented by the HOUSE the Eclipse falls in, in your Birth Chart).

The Leo Solar Eclipse - Aug 1!

 
You may be feeling 'something' is in the air, and you'd be right.

Today, 20 minutes before a Reading, (thank you Kay for bearing with me!) my computer monitor began shaking, followed by everything else in the room. As you probably heard, we were experiencing an earthquake here in Los Angeles. Yee-Haa!

 These are common around Eclipse points, so keep an eye out for further reports. Things shake and shift around Eclipses - and we can roll with it or fight against it.

We're moving towards another 'Chapter Change' as I like to call them, or the possibility of one, if you let the energy of the Solar Eclipse do its stuff, and move with the shaken molecules these Eclipses seem to inspire towards events on earth.

Remember, Astrologically, nothing truly 'causes' anything, but everything reflects everything else. If you're born at a time of chaos, you reflect the chaos within your own energy imprints (simplistically speaking). The next two weeks reflect a time of social shifting and the choice to carve and create a new pathway ahead as the Heavens play host to a changing of the guard.

The next Solar Eclipse here on Planet Earth falls on Aug 1, so I wanted to drop you a quick line to remind you, that you'll get to experience your own possibilities of starting a new chapter in specific areas of your own life experience. I'll be back with more soon, stay tuned.

In Leo, this Eclipse affects the Lions strongly, but also keep an eye out for big changes in the fields of Presidents, Royalty, and those in the public eye (officials, Popes, celebrities etc). Traditionally Solar Eclipses bring the birth of something or someone important - but just as often portend the death of something or someone important - often a man (Solar Eclipses are traditionally more 'male' oriented), but I don't know where I stand on that, I guess we'll see!

The Chart for the Eclipse falls over Asia - China seems the likeliest places for Big Dramatic Developments along with parts of Russia. Again, only time will tell but the Eclipse is seen fully over there - and Astrology dictates these are areas mostly affected. I know China plays host to the Olympics, so the spotlight is already firmly on that area, this Eclipse can only bring even more floodlights to its shores.

If you want a launch something with power, the Eclipse is a mighty great day to do so. It gives everything you begin a POW! boost of energy. Like a shot of Cosmic Red Bull (or Red Lion would be more appropriate with the Leo Eclipse).

For now - look around and get ready for a few rumbles in your world as your creative forces begin to break through and unleash themselves - whether you repress them or express them (let's hope the latter!). Egos will explode, drama will reign and cosmic creativity will burst forth. 

And let's face it - we're all on the planet for a "good show" so stop pretending you don't like the shifts and shakes - you love it!

You serious? Capricorn Full Moon (Jul 18)

Today the Full Moon shines triumphant in Capricorn, the sign of the Achiever, the Climber, the Hard Worker & the Master.

Are you fulfilled in your career path? Are you working hard and satisfied with your results? What's the relationship like with the Boss? If you're your own boss, are you balancing out time at home (personal) with your practical path ahead (professional)?

We all face these questions - what's going on inside of us and is it showing on the outside (possible skin issues now could represent an "irritation" of being in your skin, or a dietary issue due to stress at home/work.) Our inner parent comes to the forefront of our minds, pointing our what we have or have not done, what still needs to be done and whether we're making anything of ourselves. Sheesh!

Are we having enough "me" time away from outside considerations (having to take care of someone, having to pay bills, having to get up to go to work, having to eat, having to exercise etc).

Is your "having to" becoming the bane of your existence?

If so, you need a new structure to your life. A simple shift, helped along by this two-week Full Moon window: grab a calendar, diary or piece of paper to note down what you WANT to achieve this next two weeks and what you HAVE to achieve in this time.

That's it - the next two weeks. Keep only THIS in mind, and it all gets a whole lot easier.

Here are some ideas to balance the Full Moon energies (The Sun is in Cancer & the Moon is in Capricorn right now):
Clean up your home space, hang a calendar then sit down and write out your schedule. Where's your free time? Where's your 'nose down' time? Take the foundation of your resume and revamp it. Any new credits, jobs, titles, achievements? Frame your accomplishments, however small, on the wall at home. Bring your home to your work space, where possible. Memories, photos. Make your work space comfy, you spend a lot of time there. Work on making things at home run smoother - a chore list? Scheduled days for certain tasks? Who's getting groceries this week? Who's cleaning the tub? Congratulate yourself for small successes to date. Paying the rent. Dressing today. Hugging your friend. Paying for gas!

Realize you've become way too serious and it's time to laugh off the heavy feeling you have wrapped around your shoulders. Capricorn Full Moons are notorious for showing you how LITTLE you've accomplished (or so it seems) and how the NEXT person has a better job/cell phone/computer/partner than you do.

Get over yourself! We're all equal - regardless of what we possess or what we've done. We're all "just trying to get by". Some of you may find a promotion is on the cards (if so, congrats!). The Universe is handing you an opportunity to climb higher, to prove yourself to yourself, to stretch for more, for better, for greater than you have. This is YOUR time to shine, to achieve, to bask in the glory of your own respect. And then, that of others who admire you.

For some, it's a time when others seem to block you for some reason - when authorities say NO, and hand out a RED Flag, instead of a Green Card. When you have to jump through hoops to get a reply, or an acceptance. Bosses seem to have it in for you, or you're lost, without a job or an authority figure. You're left with yourself - to find your own purpose, your own plan, and your own determination to make it.

What is success to you?

That's the biggie. If you can answer that, you're well on your way. Maybe it's NOT what you've been led to believe? Maybe you don't care about the trinkets of success - cars, computers, clothes etc. Maybe it's having free time? Maybe it's seeing others smile. Maybe it's walking in a pain-free body or a painful one, but still being able to continue on.
Have a plan. Have a goal. Have a small plan on moving towards it. Success isn't whether you get there. Achievement is. Success is the process of even bothering, of even trying.

If you woke up today and somehow stumbled across this message - WELL DONE! You're living in crazy times on a crazy planet, with crazy energies bombarding us, working against us, working alongside us -all to work WITH us in experiencing a new part of ourselves.

I think that's a pretty great achievement. So smile. In whatever chapter of life you find yourself right now, you made it this far. And you're still here.

Over the top? Sun opposes Jupiter (Jul 9)

Watch it.

In the bid for growth, for more, for better, for adventure, for experience, for wisdom, for knowledge (the drive known as "Jupiter" in Astrology) - we have a tendency to want too much too fast under this current alignment and rush in and miss important details, or overspend, or overshoot the mark, promising more than we can deliver, or overdoing leading to overkill.

It's an over-the-top week. But the beauty is that you don't know until you try, you can't say you enjoy it if you don't indulge. However, do you know when to draw the line? When is "enough, enough?" Do you have enough energy/patience/money/ for your project/goal/plan? Again, you don't know unless you try. All you have to lose is your ego...

This is the 'try your wings' week, then- by all means seek out greener pastures, explore new possibilities, put it to the test, give it a gamble (without blowing it all). Wisdom is reached through direct experience (not preaching and claiming ownership over the "truth), and you'll never know if you don't go.  Just be sure to wear your belt, and take a spirit-level to keep track of the straight and narrow so you don't end up in a ditch from not paying attention to the markings on the road.  

Moderation is everything; it's just not as likely to find itself on the Buffet Of Life menu this week.

Feel-feel-feel: Cancer New Moon (Jul 2)

In the garden of life, we can only bloom and blossom bright when our soil is rich. When our roots become strangled with weeds of tangled emotions, things begin to wither and die.

Under the current Cancer New Moon we get to take a look at our 'soil' (our setting, or scene, our roots, our Home, our living situation and our emotional foundation) and decide if all is well, if we need to do some pruning/weeding and if it's time to Repot or Replant ourselves in richer earth.

This month features:

Family. As usual, the States celebrates the 4th of July - a funny time when you consider it's a celebration of independence, and Cancer (the sign of the country) relates to a more dependent vibe - close emotional ties, family, apple pie, property and Mommy Dearest.
Whatever the case, you get to review your past in your present - do you laugh like your Mom, scowl like your Dad? Treat people like crap like your brother or offer a helping hand without complaining like your sister? How do you want to be now? Whatever is going on in the family chain seems to locate you to remind you that you DO have a past...and it may be affecting your present condition or outlook - it's your choice of how.

Your Feelings. Current people and situations aren't the problem or the issue - it's how you FEEL about it all that matters. How can something or someone affect you so deeply? is it a trigger for one of your "issues"? Did this happen before? Root out your feelings on your own or with the help of an impartial observer. At the end of the day, no one can make you feel anything. Feelings are feelings - feel them, then move on to experience something else. Stop feeling-hogging!

Your Living Situation: comfy or cold? Squishy or squashed-in? Breathable or Breakable? Fix up the place (I bought a pillow today, and just realized how symbolic it is). Make food at home, house-sit, visit family, visit a close friend, invite someone over - if you are moving or just moved, arrange things to feed the 'new you' the new space will bring out. Wherever you live - you owe it to yourself to Live Like Royalty, right? It's not about $, it's about feeling what you WANT to feel, in the safe space of your own domain. Make home Home!

Your Place in the World. Where do you belong? A question you get to ask now. In this country? In this street? Do you belong in your body or are you fighting to get out of it, (by getting into your head or out of your mind?) Why can't you be okay Right Here Right Now? What are you running from? And what can you find where you are right now.
You Belong Here. Or you'd not be here at all. Simple.

Ask yourself periodically: How do I FEEL?
How do i want to feel?
Awesome - feel how you feel FIRST then do something, anything, to try on a new feeling. In time, feelings always shift, and instead of expecting life to shift in an instant to make us feel 'better', focusing on new scenery aids us in finding a new emotional 'space' in which to breathe and experience a new angle to our original problem.


It can truly be that simple. Baby steps. Momentary emotions.

Emotions = e + motions - energy in motion.
You get to decide where they go.

It's not something or someone we truly want, but the feelings they engender in us, or inspires us to ALLOW ourselves to feel, as we access their vibration. We CAN feel anything we choose, at any time, if we re-connected to our ability to move ourselves. Instead of waiting for or expecting something or someone outside of ourselves, to bring us the feeling we desire.

U-Turn, Shocks & Sudden Surprises! (Uranus goes Retrograde June 26 - Nov 27)

Prepare for an imminent u-turn, sudden surprise, or some other 'veering off the direction you thought you were heading in'.

Maybe the change has been planned for a long time (nothing 'sudden' is every truly a surprise when you peer behind the event...it's been building from somewhere), or maybe it bubbles up in a short space of time. Uranus, the energy of innovation, liberation and freedom is retrograding soon, and the Changes we THOUGHT we wanted, we no longer desire. The Changes we THOUGHT we'd made, may no longer work or need tweaking. And the Changes we HAVEN'T made in our own best interests (i.e to aid our self-understanding and freedom as unique individuals) may be made seemingly made for us.

Life, events, circumstances - all conspire now to bring you to a closer awareness of YOU. And the You you want to be, rather than the tangles of 'stuff and situations' you find yourself in, that you somehow, laughingly believe IS you. Imagine!

We all have a true north and many side-streets to get there, and many to squander our talents, resources and life-force. Neon signs now MAY be forcing our hand in turning a better corner that's right for US, not what is logically right for anyone else.

Don't identify with what is before you now.

I was reminded of this advice recently from a very astute Aries - the sign of self-identity. Just observe, witness and see where the change, or option or possibility of Change lies in each situation that now unfolds.

Stability? Forget it! Don't actively seek it out right now because somewhere, lurking in your Astrology Chart (and life) is this Uranus energy - the troublemaker to all those who want eternal safety and security. And it's moving backwards to rock the boat a little for the sake of freshness.

It's affecting a SPECIFIC area of your life, and often a number of areas (the HOUSE its moving through in your Chart, the House ruled by Aquarius and any planets in OTHER houses its affecting).

Needless to say it's more complicated than meets the eye, but that's where my job comes in. If you need some pointers, schedule a Reading and I'll help you (along with Uranus) to get you OUT of a bad situation, UNSTUCK from a rut, and well on your way again to being - well, the Free Spirit you were born to be, and are right now, even though life may not seen to be dealing you the Freedom Hand.

Is it only a U-turn, a sudden surprise or shock, a reversal of action or direction? Or is it a subtly, clever, trickster disguise to get you to reevaluate your social awareness, your social position, your friendships, your "network", your ability to think on your feet and your true nature and ability to 'wing it'.

We'll all find more of ourselves this week, but it won't come from things we nail down or have set in stone. Growth now comes in sudden spurts when we think we're going crazy or life is mad. An electric shock to the system to ensure than we simply can't carry on living boring lives of sameness when we came here to destroy or test out or comfort zones so that we continually are propelled forwards to learn new things, feel new things and experience new things that help us feel new things!

When the prison bars break apart, will you really know you're free to go, or will you sit and complain the safety and security of your usual "view" has been ruined.

Foggy Road Ahead!: Mars opposes Neptune

This week, Mars is opposing Neptune - an angle 180 aparts, creating a polarity between two forces, that can either work together or fight.

It's a sluggish time, since Mars relates to the principle of Energy and Outward Drive. Neptune throws up fog banks out of nowhere, making us want to sleep in an extra five hours, or daydream. Not the best thing when you work with knives or you're signaling to switch lanes on the freeway.

You know that feeling in a dream when you simply can't run or walk? It's not the best week for firm, decisive action. The theme of this week is less "gym-oriented" aggressive plans and methods, and more fluid "yoga/swimming" type enterprises.

If you get angry, it's likely there are few ways to express it appropriately, if at all. The best way to make use of this aspect (as they all have SOME benefit) is to channel your drive and focus into letting things slide a little more, in taking the pressure off, in maybe having just ONE more moment of quiet before you get up and carry on.

Find your escapism or it'll find you - by sideswiping you in that lane switch on the freeway, or by throwing a blanket of thick fog over the most well-laid out plans.

And if you do work with knives, heat, tools or things that move fast - pay attention or go have a cigartette/chocolate break and return refreshed.

Switch off by all means, just make sure you do switch BACK ON before going about your "usual business". The message life is trying to get across to you in moments of fuzziness, is that you DON'T have all the answers or power/control and you DON'T NEED IT. The "spirit world" and other dimensions of energy and existence are seeping into our reality - so stay alert for intuitions, hunches and follow them.

The Sun Moves into Cancer! June 20

How do you feel? That's the bottom line question now that the Sun has moved into watery Cancer, sign of the home, comfy dwellings, nests and wombs. You're either feeling fed and full or you're hungry and empty.

It's the month to nurture yourself and then spend time feeding others - invite them over for food, buy them a meal, go over and make one at theirs. Share some hugs, emotional currency is as much a necessity as financial. Get your home in order - new pillows? How about donating stuff you don't use? Enough food in the kitchen or are you scratching and snacking?

You have a month to be your own Mother - that means, securing your defenses, seeing that your Inner Kid is happy and fed and watered and making your environment as conducive to being comfortable as possible.

And don't forget the most important part of Cancer Country - your feelings, emotions, intuitions, gut churning moments. They all mean something, so don't avoid them, ignore them or worst yet - suppress them.

Feel them. Then let them move through you. Don't get stuck on any one feeling - this is the season of emotional variety. But, if one does come home to roost, and sticks around a bit, explore it. Chances are high it's some of "your" material - stuff from way back when, you ignored way back THEN. That needs digging up and letting out. And the only way to do that is REVISIT YOUR PAST IN THE HIGHEST EMOTIONAL MOMENTS IN THE PRESENT - because that's just what it is.

Let the past pull, while anchoring yourself in how it can aid you NOW. In being happy, comfy and content HERE - in your present place in life.

Lighten your Load or Lose it! Full Moon in Sagittarius (June 18)

Are you feeling FREE? Chances are, you're not. But don't sweat it - that's the beauty of this Full Moon in Sagittarius period. We get to highlight areas of our lives where we DO and DO not feel fulfilled.

It's easy to get stuck in a rut, in habits that repeat and don't really do anything new for us except drive us in circles under the illusion of getting somewhere (when we're just spinning our wheels claiming we're doing our "spiritual work". It's not like we're encouraged at school to stretch/grow/expand out of our comfort zones (why on earth would we do that?!)

But that's just what we're asked to do now - are you making use of what you know? Are you sharing the wisdom, passing on the info? Are you sculpting your life to be an example of someone who 'walks their talk'? Living an example?

Is it time to bust out of one mental prison cell and explore the greater world?

Some of you may feel a deep desire to travel, get the hell out of dodge, run away, jump in the car (after grumbling about the cost of gas), or run screaming from a relationship or life situation where you feel trapped.

Others amongst you may feel a need to hit the books, finish up studies or decide what to do with what you've been working no all this time. Teaching? Or more studies? Will you head a class or sign up for one?

Our minds are buzzing with small insignificant data right now, and under the Full Moon we're asked, 'is it useful, and can you make sense of things by viewing them from a higher perspective? Can you take your learning to a new level? Broadcast a new message to others?

Climb a hill, get a new perspective on your problems. If you stay still, you'll be stuck with a limited viewpoint, and feel "stuck". Viewed from up high, you'll see it's just a moment, a stretch of road on your life's journey. A patch in your soul's quilt.

PLUTO, the Destroyer & Rebuilder is so tightly tied in to this particular Full Moon, it could be a rather intense one for many of us as something or someone is seemingly RIPPED from us, from beneath us or from beside us. Wow, talk about a loss of control.

Will you fight to retain the old connection with this special thing/person/feeling?
Or can you loosen your grip and say 'For now, this is as it should be.'?

Pluto retrograded back into Sag recently, as one FINAL TEST to see if we've learned, truly learned the lessons we set out to learn this past year.

You KNOW now that some things you used to think were true, are not. Or at least the truth has changed. Some modes of living simply don't work. You have to give them up - and give up attachment to your little belief that used to mean so much. It's like discovering God, as an atheist. Or finding out there isn't one, as a Christian.

Major or minor, it's happening to us all. In various areas of our lives. We simply can't live by the same truths we used to. We need to find a new code of conduct, a new level of integrity, a new MEANING.

What do YOU mean?
What does your life mean?

If we took your life off the planet, and out of the current Earth Game, what would be lost? Another honest soul? A bright beam of optimism? An adventurous ability to keep trying and seeking? A sad-sack complainer? An impatient, rude selfish energy-sucker?

There's no right or wrong, no better or worse! How do YOU peg yourself, and what you have to offer. What's your Life Philosophy?

Right or Wrong - that's a big issue now. The only right or wrong are the kinds you yourself feel are important, but don't expect others to march to the same standards!

You're free now - whether you choose to see it or not. And that means free to chain yourself for another go-around, to pain, misery, or any other ugly bedfellow.
You're free to not be free!

Pluto now asks us to throw anything we're unsure on into the cauldron of life. You may lose it, it may burn up, you may NEVER EVER see it or them again. Imagine it. But imagine if you will that anything gone, was a mere moment, a mere fabrication, an illusion on your life's voyage, to arrive to make you FEEL something. That's it. To feel it, be done with it, and let it go on, to someone else, who needs it.

Life isn't about the people. or the places. or the "stuff".
it's about the FEELINGS it all engenders within us.

So start there under this particular Full Moon - do you feel your world is wide and free? Are you in fear of expanding, growing, traveling? Are you culturally stuck on your side of the fence? Get a life - and live it, as far from your "usual" haunts, and usual faces.

If you stop learning now, you wither and die. Fill your mind with new vistas. Not just the upgraded one from Windows XP.

Bon Voyage - whether your trip takes you down to Hell, or up to Heaven, who cares - go along for the ride and soak up the new sites. And if you get 'bored' or burned, turn right around and head off in another direction.

Travel Light, it's time to unpack your "baggage" and travel lighter. Life will force it, if you cling. Some things are past their USE by Date. They've reached their ABUSED by date instead. Oops! You've been trucking around old thoughts, old truths, old things you NEEDED TO PROVE, but who cares anymore? Life is a moment by moment thing, carrying anything else is foolish!

Venus just moved into Cancer, throwing us a million and one reasons to enjoy our creature comforts, home space, deep emotional bonds with those we class as our true "family".

Some of you are no doubt painting or decorating, or renovating your House, Apt, Palace, Trailer. Whatever that place is you call "home", you're spending money on making it better, upgrading it or hosting others inside of it with a budget for a major or mini banquet. Maybe you're moving or looking at how much to spend on your rental budget. Or are you looking to buy a place, or plot of land?

Enjoying what we've always loved is on the cards also. It's different for everyone, but you have your "own thing" that makes you feel safe and secure. Again it's that feeling of going 'back home' to a place, thing, person - something to trigger the FEELING - of a time and place in life that just felt gooooood.

Crack out the photo album and cherish old memories.
Check in with old flames or friends from the past, or family members who've been left out in your race to make a future.
Fill the cupboards (and your belly or the bellies of others) with good, comfort food.
Cook, Bake!
Do some housework - you'll be amazed how good it makes you feel. Guaranteed.
Spend some private time alone - turn off the phone or TV.
Relive some great moments, if possible share the stories with another who was there.
Find old schoolmates, friends, lovers online, go in search of those you spent so many years with.

Relationships now take a more emotional turn - we remember issues from our pasts that may be in the way of a real, authentic PRESENT connection.
We need more hugs, to give them and get them, and we need to know we're SAFE to proceed. Are you creating an atmosphere of safety for another to share their feelings, and are you welcome to do the same...?
The way we love now, is to find a place to settle for a time. A partnership pit stop, to refresh our souls.

Some relationships will end now, because this is a time when we withdraw to see if we're being 'fed' in the way we need to be. It's important - are you stuffing yourself with an old emotional diet? What do you NEED now? Share that with others - give them a chance to offer it to you, or at least let you know they aren't able to give what you need.

Get comfy, stay home if need be, visit childhood haunts or people from the past, share what feeds you (after you've fed yourself) and let others close enough to actually love the Real You!

Stalemate or Stale Mate? Venus opposes Pluto

June 17 and June 18 play host to an intense planetary alignment so I thought I'd give you a few pointers to the WHAT, WHY and HOW of it all, and throw a few choices your way on how to dance with it, and let it dance with you.

Venus is all things lovely, the stuff we adore, the things we WANT WANT WANT! The people we find HOT, the items we MUST buy. It's how we enjoy life, and what we seek to lure our way, like a spider in a web.

Pluto is the spider in the web. Or maybe the web itself. Its the energy that holds us in a vice until we either breakthrough or breakdown and die. It's the part of ourselves that wants it ALL, or none at all, thanks.

So love meets obsession. Enjoyment meets intensity. Beauty meets a crisis point.
Relationships meet ultimatums.

We're attracted to people/things/situations that are shady, in the shadows, sexy, saucing, steaming, but perhaps not altogether legal. An underworld connection? Deceit and mistrust? Naughty, naughty...but oh, so nice eh?

Will Love die this week? Of course not. Love is Love. It is. It was. It always will be. Pluto will uncover certain things you hate about people (your lover, friend, business parter). And of course, yourself. Why else would this "issue" be on your dirty doorstep? Wake up. And many relationships enter the Minefield on these days, but it's all to Dig Up the Dirt and Darkness so that we can Love More Fairly: in other words to LEARN TO LOVE, unconditionally.

So the shit is about to hit the fan with a certain someone. Or a certain way you've been loving. Even yourself. Can you let some parts fall, and allow love to continue leading you down the path, without the crap you've been hauling with you in the name of Safety, Security or Pure-Compulsion? Or will you seek to obliterate the ones you're hungering for love FROM?!

Artists: Revamp your style. Throw out your old ways and try a new energy on for size - new sounds, colors, forms, feelings, textures, tastes.

Lovers: Take the games to the bedroom. Explore new domination/submission themes to release pent up pressure. Find new ways to have an orgasm. Explore your DARK SIDE and love every minute of it.

That's the key now - can you LOVE (Venus) the Dark Side (Pluto). His Dark Side. Her Dark Side. It's Dark side. and YOUR OWN Dark Side?

Well, can you?

Coz it's staring at you right in the face on these days. Point the finger of blame, and you've lost the plot.

Intrigue, suspicion, jealousy, rage, hatred. In the field of Finance & Relationships.

All emotions that should trigger you into a higher state of awareness that "this is where the treasure is. Something means too much to me here, and needs addressing."

Intense emotion on any scale shows an attachment. To a belief, a thing, a person, a feeling. And attachments breed pain, because we're siding with something outside of ourselves, feeling its EVERYTHING to us. And that it IS us. Wrong.

Pluto will take from you, that which you hold on to, too tightly.
Love it, but let it fly free and Pluto will show you new vistas, new depths.

You can't avoid the crap, but you don't need to bathe in it. Muck feeds your garden, and roses CAN grow knee deep in shit.
But it stinks, and you lose the beautiful scent of the rose, when you pile up too much at your door.

Ask yourself this: Would you DIE for this?

If so, great, hold on tight and get it over with.
if not, then find a compromise, or let it go and move on.

Simple.

Love...the rest is just a Game. And it's always tipped in favor of the House (Universe).
