Grounding Our Dreams: Sun squares Saturn

The Sun approaches a square to Saturn, and our egos (Sun) are tested (Saturn). All bright lights (Sun) are challenged (Saturn).

In Pisces, the Sun (ego) finds a confusing time, as things dissolve and what is solid seems to evaporate, as the Neptune tides continually erode the boundaries in place that seaprate.
Saturn is the planet of boundaries and divisions, so this is our challenge this week: to maintain our Vision, yet do the direct work to make it manifest.

Borders and Boundaries help us now in giving shape to the formless, structure to something ethereal.

Ground your ideas in structured actions now. Be sensible to offset any hazy magical-thinking.

Saturn in Sagittarius, as covered before, is a challenge of faith:

Can you believe something when there's no proof? Can you "keep the faith" when something or someone rains on your parade? Are you fearful to leap? Are you remaining adventurous and risk-taking within reason or recklessly?

These are the challenges this week - the continuation of the Fact V Fantasy theme, but zooming into our personal lives, this Sun-Saturn square is the Bright Light faced with the Wet Blanket. Do we work with current confines or bemoan our fates?

Authorities (Saturn) can rub us wrong and seem to block us, with a No, Red Tape, Delays, Frustrations, Refusals and other assorted negativities. Parents too. Our Bosses also. This week, how will you handle the rules issued from those above you? Remember that moods affect behavior, so try and fly under the radar Pisces-style, when faced with Sagittarius-flavored hyper-reactions.

So there will be depressing moments this week, and tests of our compassion and flexibility. Remain flexible and maintain an inner bright light optimism that refuses to dampen or dim no matter the terrain, weather, mindset or moment.

And try and STRETCH MORE - this will help physical and mental flexibility, which is needed more than ever right now. When things slow down or seize up, remember that all delays could play in our favor now, if you can Trust That Things Are Unfolding As They Should...

Saturn Predictions Made Manifest & Button Pushing (Leo Full Moon Eclipse)

Back in 2014 / 2015 I made some predictions based solely on Saturn's passage through Sagittarius. Since Saturn represents karma/restriction/limitation/the Law, it's manifestations are obvious, concrete and undeniable. For example:

When Saturn was:

In Gemini, the Twins: the Twin Towers fell.
In Taurus, the sign of the Bull and Farming: Mad 'Cow' disease dominated the news as UK farmland was bought by the government following mass animal slaughter.
In Cancer, the sign of 'Home' and Protection (and the United States itself)Homeland Security was established, in the US.
In Virgo, the sign of 'Health': Obama offered Obamacare.
In Scorpio, the Sex sign: new laws were implemented for pornographic websites.

Trump's recent decision to restrict (Saturn) travel & visas (Sagittarius), setting up checkpoints and talking of building a wall at the border, reflects yet more manifestations of the predictions I made when Saturn first entered Sagittarius, two years ago.

~~~
Let's face it - life is about constantly changing scenery. If we respond to what happens today with yesterday's emotional maturity or tools, we may find ourselves inadequately equipped to deal with what actually lies before us.
Each Full Moon - especally the Lunar Eclipses - tests our response-ability, as opposed to knee-jerk reactions. How did you fare? Are you responding to life's events? Or has the word !REACT! come up lately in your life?
That's the full Lunar Eclipse & Full Moon in Leo, still echoing from Feb 10....
I myself reacted...recently, to a good friend categorically telling me something I know to be true from the extensive research I did was not true - years of research compared to an incredulous opinion, held firmly. Only, in this instance, the subject matter was something very personal to me. There's the rub, isn't it always? Full Moons and Lunar Eclipses have become notorious for pushing our buttons.
Personal opinion held fiercely and firmly and often without real evidence to back it up is bias. There's a lot of that going around, right now. We're all guilty at various times. Saturn in Sagittarius is all three - the rigid opinion, the bias and the direct personal experience / truth to validate it.
In all actuality, you could say I do not know with 100% certainty what I have extensively researched is true - because I wasn't there, it didn't happen to me - but when faced with those who hold a strong opinion (with next to no factual information to back it up), how would you feel? This sort of thing is going on everywhere.
Saturn in Sagittarius is kicking up, as promised and as predicted, a heck of a lot of truths, AND untruths - outright lies, massive exaggeration, hyperbolic statements, double speak, preaching, bias - all Sagittarius keywords.
 Saturn is barriers and there's talk of Walls being built to keep difference cultures apart (Sagittarius). Sagittarius-themed freedom of movement has been restricted (Saturn) for certain races (Sagittarius). But then reading this, you already know that don't you. The truth and the manifestations are self-evident. For those willing to open their eyes and see.
But seeing things the way they really are is a bitter medicine we all must take, sooner or later. We got out the swamps of Saturn in Scorpio, but are we now rigid and jaded because of what we have been through, or are we Willing to be Open and Willing to be Honest; to live authentically?
It shows real strength and courage now to admit a lie. And even more courage to make amends for the damage caused by deceit.
Scorpio games have no place here, anymore. Authenticity demands a strict policy: We Walk what we Talk, we Practice what we Preach. These are the times, then, when we begin to see mass discrepancies between What People Promote and What TheyActually Do. So pay attention.
We each live under our own inner Judge and Jury, Defense and Prosecutor. Be careful who you point at, and what you blame them for, now.
Saturn in Sag says Live it and Thus Present It With Validity or Shut Up. But Saturn in Sagittarius is the person who THINKS they have the answer and those who KNOW they hold the truth..and both can be equally dangerous.
How can we be honest with each other and still get along?
Answer that with the practical experience and application of your own life.
If you have experienced heightened feelings of late or found yourself caught up in the theatrics and dramatics of life on planet earth, go easy on yourself. It's hard not to take things personally, it's difficult to "be in this world but not of it", and it's challenging to disengage from drama when you suddenly find yourself thrust into it. When our egos are engaged, it's hard not to fight on its behalf. But when there's nothing to prove, what then?
The Leo Full Moon Eclipse is the ideal time, however, to Follow Your Bliss, the find that which uplifts your heart and excites you. That which makes you feel alive and joyful. Instead of fighting anything or anyone, refocus back into a more playful, creative state
What can you create out of the chaos right now? What can you pluck from the air and download into reality?
If we remember that we can each hurt each other's feelings, or rather trigger each other's secret inner wounds without even knowing it, as long as there's a willingness to come back together in authenticity, Truth and Trust will grow stronger and it's in this form of intimacy where alliances are forged that nothing can defeat. Saturn in Sagittarius can be the commitment to live a certain way for the rest of your life and beyond
And you cannot stop Ideas whose time have come.
Get busy in the direction of your Truth, then In These Days to uphold the principles that you know to be The Right Thing, the Higher path. Stand behind Truth no matter what. Utter commitment. Daily integrity. Coupled with a childlike sense of innocence
and joy, to be in the current cosmic flow. It's not meant to be all Saturn-weight and serious somber songs.
This Full Moon is in Leo the proud and playful Lion. Each time you carve out Play Time this week, (self-expression time, silly time, laughter time, quality time) you offset aggression, frustration and ultimately minimize destructive drama...
Cancer New Moon: Bonds, Belonging and Busting Beyond the Discomfort Zone
Cancer New Moon tonight. Lots of watery energy about as you've read in the Weekly Scopes (scroll down my page to see them). The New Moon falls at:
6.24pm LA
9.24pm NY
2.24am Thursday UK,
5.24am Thursday Dubai,
9.24am Thursday Hong Kong,
11.24am Thursday Sydney
This one is all about the PAST, our FEELINGS, our NEEDS, our EATING HABITS, our LIVING SITUATION, our FAMILY, our sense of BELONGING.
A square from Uranus in Aries adds a sudden urge for freedom from past restrictions, past feelings/triggers/reactions - in short, old worn-out emotional material. There's an urge at times to throw everything out from our past, but the square shows it's really an internal friction playing out externally between the habits that have become comfortable even in their discomfort, and the striving Valiantly, Nobly and Bravely and Suddenly (Uranus/Aries) towards something fresh and new.
We have no choice but to Update Our Lives now. Helpful Trines from Chiron (healing) and Saturn (structuring) are welcome signposts that beyond the yearning, burning, churning feelings in the pit of our stomachs, lies is a New Comfort Zone waiting to be tried out. All it takes is listening to that still voice within and taking one foot forward...
Send some good vibes my way, will you? Still trying to secure a new home and it's been one challenge after another. Saturn back in Scorpio is a real Test. Don't give up.
Neil
Not All Signs Are "Good"
I won't be looking for Signs this year but I'm sure I'll see many again. 2014 was full of them! So was 2013. You'd think I was nuts if I listed off just how many and the specifics. Wow! More than ever before. Did you see any?
This year, I'll be observing it all and noticing, acknowledging, realizing and remembering that The Fact That Something Bigger Is Taking Place puts me right back in the magic, and less into what has outwardly appeared (at least with Saturn in Scorpio which was often a nightmarish hell dimension). I'll revel in the seeing of a "sign", instead of the blind allegiance to it as a perfect manifestation of my Higher Self or Destined Path.
We must be careful whose path/signs we are following now. Which leads us to Saturn in Sag as a brave call to Adventure - once more, for those already on the Path. To get Back On the Path. To demonstrate the teachings.
To make real and manifest (Saturn) the wisdom (Sagittarius).
2015 begins the era of the Walk Your Talk philosophy as people demand "Prove it!".
 |
Preachers and Teachers will abound in the years ahead but not all speak Truth from the Universal sense but the ego-voice, ever searching for ways to both empower itself and satisfy it's desires. Don't go shopping when you're hungry! So Saturn caution is called for, in any teaching or story.
In Church, via media, or even in your own living room.
We're all working on the Truth, this year. And thus, in the polarity-world-3d-game we find ourselves in, many will operate under a Lie.
For those seeking soul-peace, it seems 2015/2017 is the gift of all the hard work of perseverance in pushing on through the dark, so that a tunnel and a light may indeed be seen/created/found.  Seek and you shall find. Saturn tempts us to Quit The Seeking, closing us down so that our Belief is jeopardized and our self-fulfilling prophecies take on a darker turn. But it doesn't have to be this way. If we continue on despite of (or perhaps even, because of!) challenges/delays/frustrations/tests....the Sagittarian good fortune will be there. Saturn always holds the ultimate (and longer-lasting) payoff, remember?
How strong and sturdy (Saturn) is YOUR faith (Sagittarius)?
We don't need anyone to believe in us anymore, and we no longer need a nod to follow our own sacred life philosophy. 2015 offers the freedom to pursue our personal truth without judgment! But Judge they most likely shall.
Just because you "see a sign" doesn't mean you should follow it, that it's a call from your Higher Self, or anything remotely worth paying attention to. But synchronicity grabs us, doesn't it? And when they pile up and repeat, how can we not feel just a little excited that indeed, 'something must be happening'?
In 2015, I won't be seeing anything as a 'sign'. I have the Signs of the Zodiac to work with and there's more than enough information there to keep me busy (plus this is ancient tried-and-true wisdom as opposed to the latest and greatest we see popping up on Page 1 of any of our google searches).
Instead, I'll bask in awe at the consciousness that makes it possible to see that something bigger is indeed taking place.
If you've tapped into synchronicity of late, take heart and smile.  And if you haven't, don't go looking, just slow life down, take time to just "be" and see what happens.
2015 takes a final zip around a surprising corner (Uranus square Pluto's final 7 of 7 exact hits) and we're left with the purest form of ourselves and the range and limits of our personal power, in a world fighting for new ways of being, while holding tight to that which has been built so far.
The tension now is palpable. Wounds must be healed. And they will be healed the more we face Saturn's karmic lesson of Truth with a continued purging of non-truths.
When you see a Sign, it could be a Red Flag, a Green Light or simply a line-up revealing that "something" is being worked out, on a Higher Level perhaps, reflected in the dense 3-D physical world we also inhabit. It could also be something trying to lead you astray. Seeing a Sign, in itself, is amazing but like the freeways we drive upon, life has many road-signs and we don't follow them all. And sometimes, people rearrange them to send us in the opposite direction.  Skepticism is a very Saturn-in-Sag concept, but one that also has its place.
Remain open (Sag), but remain vigilant (Saturn).
And as always, enjoy the scenery - even the areas you'd sooner rather leave behind than get stuck in. There are many roads leading to where you want to go. All we need do is keep our Destination in mind, and allow for the many pit-stops and detours along the way.
Even this page of your story, even this view, even this chapter is important.
In 2015 just remember one thing above all else:
Don't lose your laughter!
Keep Pushing Through: Virgo New Moon & Mars/Saturn in Scorpio
A New Moon in Virgo and Mars/Saturn conjunction in Scorpio?
Hmm, I smell something in the air. It's beginning to reek? You've noticed too, of course.
Something needs to be fixed and something must change for good (or for evil, but we'll get to that...).
Virgo New Moon opens a window where any problem revealed can at least be tackled.
You either sit and groan about the errors and mistakes or you make a plan and set about trying to do something about it.
Under Virgo New Moons we all renew our dedication to our health, the welling being of plants, pets and our surroundings. Which means most people reading this will feel some amount of guilt at not taking care of themselves as well as they should. But even those who have lost touch with their inner healthy-mother, have another chance. The Virgo New Moon. Thank goodness. We also see what needs to be improved, and what new projects and plans we need to initiation (New Moon) and implement (Virgo).  We first see all of this through the lens of what is not is working. That's where we:
Throw in a Mars/Saturn conjunction in Scorpio of all signs!  Together with the Virgo Moon we have a team up between Cycle 6 (Virgo) and Cycle 8 (Scorpio). If you have my book (Page 303), you'll find in the back the list of cycle combos (if you don't you can check them out free!). These are the keywords to describe the flavor of Cycle 6/Cycle 8 and thus these current times to you:
                SURGERY,
                                                      SEXUAL HEALTH,
          QUITTING BAD HABIT,                                        HEALTH OBSESSION
                                      HELPER/HEALER
  MINIMALIST,
                                  CUT AND DRIED,
                                                                                 THE BOTTOM LINE.
Doesn't sound fun but sounds "necessary". Yuk.
We can get to the bottom line or we may have to hit rock bottom to have any solid serious, sober and REAL ground (Saturn) to build on. Reality is a great awakener. When you get down to the roots, you can see what's there (Mars/Saturn). Enough Nutrition, or creepy crawlies or viruses feeding on you?
The New Moon in Virgo is the earth-builder helper who knows which seeds to plant and which weeds to pull. If,...you Trust your inner Technician, Farmer, Critic and Boss. But beware. And be aware of and wary of anger, fears and mental phantom testing you. Remember that 'evil' I told you about earlier? Some characters DO turn evil. Is this the great "pole divide" we've been hearing about since way back? A parting of the ways? In the movie of your life then, and for the next few weeks especially, simply be alert and aware to enemies posing as friends and people hiding a real ugly truth behind a truly alluring lie.
Be Smart (Virgo-style - in other words discriminating)
Fix, Change, Develop, Create, Let Go, Transform!
 At random moments. At any time. In any order.
Your Astrologer,
Neil
www.NewWorldAstrology.com.
P.S HP got me back my laptop after 3 weeks AWOL for a 3 day repair. They messed up the warranty and now tell me I am stuck without one. Nothing I can do (Mars/Saturn). Even though there was nothing wrong with it, the Hard Drive was taken (Pluto at his best) so I am in the process of again rebuilding the store, reports etc so I can send out orders. I'm behind. As you know. Bear with me, I'm doing the best I can. I do believe in evil now. There are forces that threaten to thwart our plans. Sometimes those forces can be people. Companies. (Pluto is in Capricorn, after all). If you find it hard to trust, under this Virgo/Scorpio vibe, be trustworthy. That's one magic wand guaranteed to create some type of magic. It always does.
I finally got the Scorpio Rising message this week (as Mars meets Saturn one degree from my Ascendant). That life can send its thunderbolts (I have Uranus Rising in Scorpio so take your best shot!) but rebirth is inevitable. It is unstoppable. It is the human spirit itself. Even after those moments of curling up in its closet and just crying.
Sun in Taurus opposed by Saturn in Scorpio: Controlling your Desires?
Realize you're karmically trapped/stuck FOR A REASON.
Sometimes you have to see it through till "The End". Harnessing the Power to Create and Destroy  transforms our insecure ego into a higher state of security and 'worth' (in the eyes of the ego itself (Sun in Taurus) or keep us chained to the pain of the physical world and its karmic tests and challenges by refusing to go through the very challenges and blocks we NEED for our soul's upcoming Graduation Ceremony. It's hard. There are brick walls. There will be results, though. Every effort pays off. And Surrender also has a pay off.
Whether you turn green and shred your clothes in despair and deep dark desire, or somehow control and calm your inner Big Green Giant, is a choice you get to make, judgment-free...simply another personal answer/echo/manifestation to a Cosmic Question posed by the planets above...
Scorpio/Pluto and Saturn Returns: Tests of Time
My partner's Mom had a sudden and major stroke a week ago today and I've been here at the hospital daily and thought I'd take a moment to check in with you all.  My Reading Schedule is on hold but will no doubt be  back on track soon, as she is showing signs of recovery.
Diane has 4 planets in Scorpio and is going through an EXACT (and second) Saturn Return in Scorpio. Her stroke happened on the same day, in fact, that Saturn turned retrograde, right over her Natal Saturn, degrees away also from her Sun. Saturn of course relates to restrictions and rules/regulations. Scorpio is a tough sign - its transformations are deep, intense and the circumstances that arrange themselves to move through this sort of evolution are tough and arduous. To watch her tied  to the bed (Saturn limitation, Scorpio loss of control), unable to move her left side and choking on a breathing tube is a reminder to me of many things - the fragility of the human body, the sheer strength of the human body, the resilience of the spirit and the outstanding courage and strength of Scorpio.
Scorpio and Pluto are two energies you don't want to (or rather can't) mess with. Locked away in these two energies, are often lifetimes of pain and lifetimes of survival. Certainly there is understanding of life's extremes. Pain creates an inner fire, and those around us who seem fired up are no doubt the same ones that have lived through emotional turmoil of varying levels. There's a strength to Scorpio/Pluto that arises just as all seems lost. I see it time and time again.
With 6 planetary bodies in Pisces currently, we all are finding we're choosing or being forced to Submit and Surrender. Something Scorpio/Pluto just doesn't jive with (unless it's under their control). Sometimes we don't want control. Sometimes we don't have any. Pisces as the last sign dissolves everything but our connection to our core, our Soul, or Center and our Source. But the way there can involve the loss of many things. Sometimes our apparent safety. Sometimes our sense of security.
Saturn Return's are notorious times of hardship. Soul-testing. We go through it ages 28-30 and then again somewhere between 58-60. If you're around those ages, you too were born with Saturn in Scorpio. If you were, you'll be going through your own initiation, but don't worry. You have the credentials to pass every test with flying colors. You just have to put in the time and work and learn what needs to be learnt.
Throw in the sign of Scorpio and you know it's going to be Intense (Scorpio). And it's going to take Time (Saturn). Diane, unable to talk yet, is scribbling away on pieces of paper with her good hand. She has stories of 'the other side' it seems, seeing those who have already passed over. How's that for another Scorpio theme - life after death!
Here's to all who read this who have gone through, are going through or who find themselves at the doorstep to Major Unavoidable Changes. We like to believe that life is interrupted by events such as these, that something has gone 'wrong', that we are somehow to blame, but if you dig a little deeper (another Scorpio theme) you'll find that THIS IS LIFE - every moment that makes up our story. Scorpio/Pluto moments (and our Saturn Return) pull us back to THIS moment, to what really matters when we strip away (or are forced to give up or lose or say goodbye to) various parts of our life that have become 'home'.
Which reminds me of another strong soul I know - my publisher and Virgo Moon editor at the Wessex Astrologer, Margaret Cahill (born with the Moon conjunct Pluto in Virgo) who was diagnosed with Cancer just after the publication of my book at the end of 2012. Another soul tapped into Pluto who is on her own journey into the Scorpio/Pluto Underworld. You can follow her story by clicking here aptly titled "Undercover of Darkness". And finally, my father-in-law Jess is also battling Cancer. He's born with Pluto conjunct his Leo Sun.  I know these three souls have the strength to get through this, and to come out the other end of the tunnel, with even greater strength, purpose, passion, will and soul surrender, something earned only after ordeals of the "Pluto" kind. How else would we grow so much unless we're nudged a little (or a lot) sometimes? And the greatest Shadows, must come from the Greatest Lights. I'm sure you know some in your own life.
I believe in each of you.
I'm appreciating a lot more these days, thanks to these brave spiritual warriors. And for the rest of us:
Nothing lasts forever, so are we enjoying it all
as much as we could be,
while we still have it?
You're tougher than you look,
Saturn in Scorpio: 2012-2014 Predictions
Saturn is the Law-Maker. Whichever sign he's in, is subject to rigorous 'reality-checks', tests, trials, limitations, frustrations, challenges and lessons.
Some historical examples: Saturn in Taurus (Mad Cow Disease..Taurus the bull) Saturn in Gemini (news regarding Freedom of Speech), Saturn in Virgo (restricted health care system), Saturn in Libra (more talk about Marriage Equality), Saturn in Sagittarius (restricted airline/international travel).
Saturn is about to move into Scorpio (October 2012) so I thought I'd give you my predictions for what you can expect to see in the news headlines as this alignments begins making itself known on Planet Earth (and within your own life).
In 2012-2014 (beginning in October but we'll no doubt see signs of these energies as soon as July, three months before the alignment), expect these stories to take hold of our headlines:
Changes in the laws governing Death: funerals, cost of burial ground/services, the 'death' industry, where and how we are buried/cremated, further talks on the laws surrounding the 'right to die', abortion, changes to/abolishment of the 'death penalty', more talk about the Dead and Dying (and the care of the elderly).
Shifts in attitudes towards Sex and Sexuality: tighter/altered laws for prostitution and pornography, possible new STDs or outbreaks (or the fear thereof), tighter control over our animal appetites, abstinence, more talk about sex crimes, changes in std testing/costs/availability, more sex scandals
Insurance Issues: stories about insurance companies not doing what they should, costs of insurance shifting, new insurance plans implemented, the fall of corrupt insurance systems
New Debt Laws:  changes in bankruptcy policy, credit card crackdown, debts being recalled/forgiven, new payment plans
Marriage Money: alimony, pre-nups, law changes related to who gets what, shifts in divorce laws
Criminal Clampdown: exposure of underground crime, pedophilic rings (and the connection to those in positions of power), major drug busts, proliferation of crime circuits and groups,
New Laws of Secrecy: the protection of those up to know good or the exposure of those hiding something, privacy issues at the forefront, more invasive measures against the public,
These are just some of the headlines I predict we'll be seeing a lot of in the next couple of years. Look for signs as early as July and watch as Saturn continues his testing of everything related to Scorpio, along with Scorpios themselves.
Stay Tuned!
My New Home!
Well, we're all facing new chapters or the possibility of one, this Summer.
Where is yours?
Mine was a relocation to the beautiful town of Boulder Creek, Northern California. The Astrology of this time? Too much to mention, but for those budding Astrologers amongst you:
Jupiter conjunct my Sun in the 4th House of Home - expansion within the home, travel in connection to home, new comfort zones
Progressed Mars conjunct Mercury in 4th - Activating activity and movement in relation to domestic matters- researching new nests.
Progressed Moon conjunct Moon/Sun in 4th - An evolving need (PR Moon) to find a new dwelling (in 4th) to soothe the soul (Pisces).
Uranus/Jupiter transiting Sun in 4th - Growth (Jup) and freedom (Ura) when it comes to home matters. I felt I'd outgrown my last location.
Saturn in 10th opposing Sun/Mercury in 4th - Upgrading (Sat/10) which came with challenges from a difficult landlord (Sat/10) who blocked one location due to a lack of repairs and follow through, which led to a period of insecurity which ended in a new home and inner strength (Sun/Mer 4). Saturn oppositions are...from a physical standpoint, a bitch (to coin a professional term).
Solar Return Sun in 8th - signifying Major Life Change, possible relocation.
Solar Return Scorpio on 4th House Cusp - 'death' of one home.
Natal Ascendant conjunct Solar Return 4th House Cusp - a new (Ascendant) home (4th), investing in a home (4th) which truly reflects the self (Asc).
For domestic/home matters we look to the 4th House, any planets therein, the ruler of this House and also the Moon, which naturally rules all home and property matters. In my Chart:
Saturn square Moon - challenges to comfort, setting up shop, real estate difficulties etc. I thought I'd gotten away without experiencing this one, but the issues with the landlord, and the problems with securing the first location, revealed itself to be THE challenge that led to a new inner security (you find your emotional resources during Saturn/Moon times when you have to deal with Reality and Figure Things Out as practically as possible). Imagine driving across country, anticipating life in your new beautiful home you've been so excited about (although you were rushed to arrive early to start the lease, no matter), expecting your new home to be ready, getting there and being faced with an ant invasion, the place filthy (including a toilet that had never seen a brush), things in disrepair that were meant to be fixed, black widow spiders sitting waiting to eat you and a landlord who lied-lied-lied and then the next morning (after a night spent in a hotel because the house wasn't fit for move-in), throws your deposit and rent back at you saying 'This Won't Work', while a rental truck with all your belongings sits in the driveway....yep that was what I faced on this trip.
Jupiter Square Moon
- challenges to expanding into a new comfort zone, whilst maintaining the best of the past and inner needs (you can't let go of everything that brings you comfort, without losing your sanity. Jupiter inspired me to pick up and travel, to find a bigger, better and more expensive location, with a view to 'upgrading'. I'm glad things worked out the way they did.
My current home is better than the original one I worked so hard to secure (Jupiter always holds a blessing). My partner and I went through hell when we arrived here, had to stay in hotels with a Budget Rental Truck full of our belongings, whilst we searched for a new home - all because of a mean, deceitful landlord who promised one thing and delivered quite another. We prevailed, and life couldn't be better.
During Serious Saturn Times, hang in there. The hard work always pays off.
I'm taking new Readings now, so get in early for this next round, this Summer will prove to be a huge one - change is knocking at your door. How will you respond?
Feel the pull? Jupiter opposes Saturn (May 22)
Jupiter opposes Saturn today (10.36pm Pacific) - two naturally diametrically 'opposed' energies:
Jupiter in Pisces - emotional growth, expansion through compassion, growth through feeling our way ahead, spiritual adventure and learning that everything is connected through the current of feeling. In short, Love all all. That is the Law.
Saturn in Virgo - healthy boundaries, practical structures, solid platforms, efficient enterprises, fixing the problems. In short - revealing the faults and working on improvement.
Where do these two planets fall in your Chart?
These are the two areas you'll feel this EXPANSION (Jupiter) and CONTRACTION (Saturn). Some may feel it as a need to grow, but feel weighed down with responsibility, obligation, work, duty, heaviness. Others may find they are rushing too fast, and need a more solid plan.
All of us will find the months ahead a time of planning the next chapter, the next adventure, of ascertaining where we want to expand, what we have outgrown, where we are willing to clean up, shape up, trim down and simplify, where we're willing to take a risk to evolve, even despite the fear of failure or life's tough questions - "how will I survive", "will it work out okay?" "can I handle this?" etc. We all feel them, and we've all come to learn with these eternal questions of insecurity gnawing in the back o our minds.
It's time to temper optimism with hard reality, and pessimism with a light hearted remembrance that Life is a Game if you can play by the rules and enjoy the trip.
Change IS here, whether your life seems to look the same on the outside this summer, on the inside seas are stormy, the tides are swelling and storms are brewing. People will take sides, people will fight for their corner of the ring, say they are right, push against obstacles, all the while missing the point that:
The Hard Times inspire in us a desire for what we truly want, and help us grow by showing us a new direction. And that all growth comes with a period of instability, tension and uncertainty
.
All that matters is that we Keep Calm and Carry On, as the poster my brother left me with today says, before I take off on my own adventure up north to a new home.
Feel the tension, feel the fear, and keep moving ahead. Nothing lasts forever here, so enjoy it while you can. We have every reason to keep Hope alive, and Optimism. Clouds come, but the sun is always....always...shining.
Need help? You can count on me to guide you through this time -schedule a Reading or order a Report and together we can map out the road ahead.
Tension! Saturn opposes Uranus
Feel like you're on a seesaw, being squeezed in a vice and then being stretched beyond your limits? Welcome to the current theme: restrictive Saturn faces off against free-spirited Uranus for a true series of personal and collective rebellions, revolutions, rule-reversals and the overthrowing of tyrants and the bullying of those speaking out for freedom and equal rights.
Bam! the aspect hit on Election Day here in the States. People polarized heavily between two energies "Change Change Change" (Uranus to the T) or Stability, Preservation and Old Values (Saturn is all about controlling change).
Prop 8 here in California, bans same-sex marriage, barring a huge portion of the state from expressing their love in a legal and binding union. Saturn (the rule-maker) thumbed its nose at those seeking the freedom of equal rights (Uranus). The opposition was expressed by a major series of rallies and Uranus-outrage against the System (Saturn). This is sure to be the beginning of a long and bitter fight between those who want things to stay the same (Saturn) and those who want true freedom via change (Uranus).
Souls born at this time, of course, will be imprinted with this vibration of push-pull, but how does it play out for all of us personally, you ask?
We want to break free yet how can we ditch it all and quit when we'd lose our security? We feel a need to fight those who rebel against us, who provoke us with their wily ways. We find our work needs to change and our career focus needs fresh air. We start wondering if our friends are keeping us stuck or if we're just expecting too much. We fear that the things we've established will no longer prove stable (the biggie!)
In relationships, one wants to run free whilst the other wants to work on it. Saturn loves work, Uranus loves to roam wild and free. Both sides are pitted against each other.
In financial matters, we risk stagnating and investing in old ideas, or turning the other way and throwing everything into sudden schemes and ideas that may sound good in theory but have no real backing.
In SOME area of your life (detailed by the houses Saturn and Uranus are hashing it out in) is some dispute or conflict between two opposing viewpoints or energies. You can't win when you take sides. And you can't expect others to conform to your viewpoint.
So it may be lonely, but we have to ride this one out - by sitting on the fence if need be, or bouncing on both sides and expecting a bumpy ride.
Change is here - no matter who is elected President. Whoever is in office in the US, will be a big player in the breaking down further of the system and its codes of conduct that never HAVE been for the Uranus people it claims to represent (the US Moon representing the public, is in Aquarius, ruled by Uranus).
We live in major times of unrest, but true change is never easy. Painful are the throes of birthing ourselves into a freer life. But with limitation comes liberation - we need rules to keep something in place.
See your life like this right now - a deadline or ultimatum may be thrust upon you, but it now gives you something to work with. A Timeline or a Plan. Whatever is happening is showing you were you NEED more structure or need to chill the hell out and where you NEED to breathe easier OR stop pushing against things.
Balance. It may be difficult since we're still in Scorpio Season, but it's coming. Not yet though. I'll let you know when the tides change but right now, right here, today we're in the most intense time, when the pendulum swings sharply, when we're booted off the seesaw, when what we held to so dearly suddenly has other plans. Are we free? Are we stuck? Really?
If it gets hard to breathe, you know where to find me.
In every great conflict and opposition lies the seeds of resolution. If you fight, if you resist, you fuel and feed the fires of pain. If you allow, and continue moving on a path that feels right to you, you can't help but change the scenery and thus, open up to new possibilities.
Embrace your life conflicts, they'll lead you to a better place. And that's really what we all want now.
Cracking the whip for your liberation, Neil www.New World Astrology .com
